Elastic hinge for eyeglass frames, provided with two pivot elements hinged together by means of a pin. A first pivot element is provided with an elastic device comprising a carriage provided, at an external end thereof, with a head portion having a first hole which is extended passing between its two lateral faces. A second pivot element comprises two shoulders provided with second holes and delimiting a slit between them in which the head portion is inserted. The head portion comprises a tilted slide surface, which is extended towards the external end of the carriage on at least one of the lateral faces of the head portion directed towards the head of the pin, covering at least one area adjacent to the first through hole.
Slip-Resistant Eyewear System
A slip-resistant eyewear system comprising an eyewear frame generally comprises first and second hinges coupled to the eyewear frame which are also coupled to first and second tension adjusters. First and second bows are coupled to first and second tension adjusters. The system may comprise an eyewear retainer comprising a first end configured to couple to the first bow and a second end configured to couple to a second bow such that a tension is maintained on the unitary eyewear retainer when the unitary eyewear retainer extends around a back of a head of a user.
Flexible hinge with a tension spring
Provided herein is a flexible hinge comprising a tension spring (1), a sliding element (2), a sliding element guide (3), a spring tensioner (4), a stop (5) for stopping the longitudinal movement of the sliding element (2), a fastener (6), and a bearing shield (7). The flexible hinge disclosed herein can be installed in a pair of eyeglasses comprising a pair of temples and a frame front so as to connect the temples to the frame front. The flexible hinge can be fixed to the temple with the stop (5) at one end and to the frame front with the fastener (6) at another end. The fastener (6) is used to engage sliding element (2) with the bearing shield (7). The sliding element guide (3) enables longitudinal movement of the sliding element (2) along the x-axis and prevents its movement along other axes.
Slip-resistant eyewear system
A slip-resistant eyewear system comprising an eyewear frame generally comprises a nosepiece comprising a nosepiece material configured to couple to a bridge of an eyewear frame. The frame comprises first and second hinges coupled to the eyewear frame which are also coupled to first and second spring-loaded tension adjusters. First and second bows are coupled to first and second tension adjusters. A unitary eyewear retainer comprises a first end configured to couple to the first bow and a second end configured to couple to a second bow such that a tension is maintained on the unitary eyewear retainer when the unitary eyewear retainer extends around a back of a head of a user.
APPARATUS FOR RETRACTABLE TETHERING AND ATTACHMENT TO AND BETWEEN HEADGEAR AND EYEWEAR AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
Embodiments of the disclosure include an integrated eyewear and headgear system, including retrofitting existing headgear and eyewear, allowing the eyewear to remain attached, affixed to, or connected with headgear while not in use (not covering the eyes), as well as when in use (covering the eyes). A headgear and eyewear system may comprise eyewear configured to be worn on the face of a user; headgear configured to be worn on the head of the user; and at least one retaining mechanism configured to attach the eyewear to the headgear, wherein the eyewear comprises a first position in front of the user's eyes, wherein the eyewear comprises a second position upon the headgear and not in front of the user's eyes, and wherein the retaining mechanism is configured to retain the eyewear with respect to the headgear in at least one of the first position and the second position.
A FLEXIBLE HINGE WITH A TENSION SPRING
Elastic Rim Lock Without Screws For Eyeglasses Operating As Hinge And Temple
An elastic rim lock without screws for eyeglasses operating as hinge and temple is described, comprising: a spring, a first front frame part, a second front frame part and a cut, the spring being tensioned between a head of the wire and a surface of a first seat of the second front frame part separated by the cut, the rim lock further comprising a wire, a first segment of the wire passing through the spring, the first seat, a second seat of the second front frame part and a seat of the first front frame part, while a second segment of the wire is in permanent contact with a surface of the first front frame part and has the function of defining the length of the first segment, a section of the wire being configured for being a temple or a temple core.
Collapsible eyeglass apparatus
An eyeglass apparatus comprises left and right eyeglass portions and a link. The link is configured to permit the eyeglass apparatus to transition between an extended configuration and a collapsed configuration. In the extended configuration, the eyeglass apparatus is adapted to be worn by a user in a conventional eyeglass wearing orientation. In the collapsed configuration: an inwardly facing lens face of one of left and right lenses faces an outwardly facing lens face of the other of the left and right lenses; a medial edge portion of the left lens is closer to a medial edge portion of the right lens than to a lateral edge portion of the right lens; and the lateral edge portion of the left lens is closer to the lateral edge portion of the right lens than to the medial edge portion of the right lens.
Slip-Resistant Eyewear System
A slip-resistant eyewear system comprising an eyewear frame generally comprises a nosepiece comprising a nosepiece material configured to couple to a bridge of an eyewear frame.
