DISPLAY DEVICE
Disclosed herein is a display device designed to increase the transmittance of R, G, and B sub-pixels and to reduce a transmittance of W sub-pixel through a pixel asymmetric design in order to correspond to the product specifications. To this end, the display device according to the present disclosure has a pixel asymmetric structure in which W sub-pixel is designed to have a different area from R, G and B sub-pixels. As a result, as the display device according to the present disclosure has an asymmetric structure in which the areas of W, R, G, and B sub-pixels are different from one another, particularly, an asymmetric structure in which the area of W sub-pixel is reduced and the area of R sub-pixel is increased, it has a structural advantage that the transmittance of R, G, and B sub-pixels can be increased and the transmittance of W sub-pixel can be lowered so that it is possible to correspond the product specifications in various ways.

The electrode applicable in LCD includes a plurality of electrode comb teeth with a slit therebetween, adjacent electrode comb teeth being connected to each other at one end of each comb tooth; the other ends of the adjacent electrode comb teeth forming an opening, at least one protrusion being provided between the adjacent electrode comb teeth at the opening end; and the protrusion being connected to the electrode comb tooth.
PROFILED DISPLAY PANEL AND DISPLAY DEVICE
A profiled display panel and a display device are provided. A display region of the profiled display panel has a profiled border. The profiled display panel includes a plurality of pixels including low-brightness pixels and regular pixels. Brightness of the low-brightness pixels is lower than brightness of the regular pixels under same driving voltage. The plurality of pixels forms a plurality of pixel rows extending in first direction and a plurality of pixel columns extending in second direction. Each of the pixel rows or the pixel columns includes at least one pixel group including the low-brightness pixels at one end of the pixel group and the regular pixels at the other end, and the regular pixels are arranged away from the profiled border. An aperture area of the respective low-brightness pixels in same pixel group is gradually increased in direction from the profiled border to the display region.
