In some embodiments, a composite composition comprises one or more chromogenic thiazolothiazoles contained in an aqueous-based polyelectrolyte matrix. The one or more chromogenic thiazolothiazoles can be soluble in the aqueous-based polyelectrolyte matrix, in some embodiments. Moreover, the chromogenic thiazolothiazoles can comprise at least two pyridinium moieties. In some embodiments, the chromogenic thiazolothiazoles undergo a first color change in response to a first electron reduction, and a second color change in response to a second electron reduction.
In situ adjustable optical mask
Implantable corneal and intraocular implants such as a mask are provided. The mask can improve the vision of a patient, such as by being configured to increase the depth of focus of an eye of a patient. The mask can include an aperture configured to transmit along an optical axis substantially all visible incident light. The mask can further include a transition portion that surrounds at least a portion of the aperture. This portion can be configured to switch from one level of opacity to another level of opacity through the use of a controllably variable absorbance feature such as a switchable photochromic chromophore within a polymer matrix.
GLASS ASSEMBLY
A glass assembly includes a first glass layer including a first surface facing an exterior of a vehicle and a second surface opposite to the first surface; a second glass layer including a third surface and a fourth surface opposite to the third surface, the fourth surface facing an interior of the vehicle, and a light-adjusting layer between the first glass layer and the second glass layer, wherein the glass assembly further includes a light-emitting structure on the third surface or the fourth surface of the second glass layer, and wherein the second glass layer is used for reflecting incident light emitted by a light source and emitting the light into the interior of the vehicle through the light-emitting structure.
