Optoelectronic device for generation a frequency comb

The invention relates to an optoelectronic device for generating a frequency comb comprising a laser source (2), a ring microresonator (3) comprising a resonant ring (20) made of a third order optically non-linear material with abnormal dispersion regime. It also comprises a spectral tuning device comprising a junction guide (30) coupled to the resonant ring, electrical biasing means (40) adapted to apply an electrical voltage to the junction, and a control unit (42) adapted to modify the value of the electrical voltage until at least one dissipative temporal soliton is formed in the resonant ring.

THIN FILM SYNCHRONOUSLY PUMPED OPTICAL PARAMETRIC OSCILLATORS

A device including a photonic integrated circuit comprising one or more OPOs each comprising: an input configured to receive a pump wave comprising pulses or a frequency comb with a pump repetition rate, one or a plurality of nonlinear sections as part of a resonator or coupled to a resonator having a free spectral range, where at least one of the free spectral range or one of its harmonics is matched to the pump repetition rate or its harmonics, and one or a plurality of outputs configured to extract a portion of the waves generated by the OPO in response to the pump wave and/or the pump wave.

Fully integrated chip platform for electrically pumped frequency comb generation

Example methods, devices, and systems for optical emission are disclosed. An example device can comprise one or more optical filters. The one or more optical filters can be configured to be coupled to an optical amplifier. The device can comprise a microresonator configured to receive an output of the one or more optical filters and output, based on parametric multiwave mixing, a frequency comb. The one or more optical filters and the microresonator can be integrated into a single chip.
