The invention relates to a hopper (10) for rod shaped articles (100) defining a longitudinal axis, the hopper (10) including: a chamber (20) to hold the rod shaped articles (100); a distributor device (30) to align the rod shaped articles (100) with substantially parallel longitudinal axes, the distributor device (30) including a plurality of walls (50) defining adjacent channels (40), at least one of said walls (50) including a stationary part (51) and a movable part (52) connected to the stationary part (51); and a vibrating device (70) adapted to oscillate the movable part (52) with respect to the stationary part (51).
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ROD-LIKE ARTICLES FOR TOBACCO INDUSTRY, APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING ROD-LIKE ARTICLES AND SYSTEM FOR MANUFACTURING ROD-LIKE ARTICLES
A method for producing rod-like articles of the tobacco industry is provided, including: performing a first cutting in which a continuous rod is cut into a train of double rod-like articles; changing a direction of conveying the double rod-like articles from a first direction along an axis of the articles to a second transverse direction, each time two double rod-like articles are transferred into grooves of a drum conveyor, and two input streams of the double rod-like articles are formed; transforming the input streams into one intermediate stream by moving a double rod-like article from one of the streams between two double rod-like articles of the other stream, geometric centers of the double rod-like articles in the intermediate stream being disposed in a plane parallel to the second direction; and performing a second cutting in which the double rod-like articles conveyed in the intermediate stream are cut into two single rod-like articles.
Method and apparatus for conveying rod-like articles of tobacco industry
An apparatus for conveying rod-like articles of the tobacco industry to feed articles to a receiving area of a transferring unit. The transferring unit has lugs moving on a circular path and conveys the articles to the receiving apparatus. The receiving apparatus conveys the articles axially and the lug reduces the speed at least in a part of the path of movement before the area and/or in the area for receiving the articles from the feeding apparatus to the transferring apparatus and increases the speed at least in a part of the path of movement between the area for receiving the articles from the feeding apparatus and the area for transferring the articles to the receiving apparatus. And a method of conveying rod-like articles of the tobacco industry from a receiving area to a transferring area.
ROLLING UNIT AND ROLLING METHOD FOR FILLER ROD
A rolling unit for a filler rod includes a rolling drum that has an outer peripheral surface for holding chip paper and a continuous body and transfers the chip paper and the continuous body in the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface; and a rolling block that has a rolling surface facing the outer peripheral surface of the rolling drum, forms a rolling gap between the rolling surface and the outer peripheral surface of the rolling drum, and winds the chip paper around the continuous body by rolling the continuous body while interposing the continuous body in the rolling gap as the rolling drum rotates. A plurality of block-side suction holes is opened on the rolling surface of the rolling block, and the rolling gap is suctioned via the block side suction holes.
