A prediction processing unit updates a filter coefficient of a prediction filter using an adaptive algorithm, and performs linear prediction on the blur detection signal. An adder adds an output of the high frequency side prediction processing unit to an output of the low frequency side prediction processing unit via an up-sampler, and outputs a superimposed output signal. Image blur correction control is performed on the basis of a superimposed output signal.
