An article of footwear is disclosed that includes an upper and a sole structure secured to the upper. The sole structure incorporates a support element that includes a fluid-filled chamber. The chamber may be bonded to other portions of the sole to secure the chamber within the sole. A surface of the chamber may also be angled to form a corresponding bevel in a lower surface of the sole structure, potentially in a rear-lateral area of the sole structure. A plate may also extend under a portion of the chamber.
Adjustable athletic positioning apparatus and applications thereof
An apparatus for use as at least part of a sole of a shoe or as at least part of an insole of the shoe, the apparatus comprises a fixed section that provides a positioning of a big toe area at a lower position than a heel area and/or at a lower position than an outer edge area, and an adjustable section associated with the fixed section, wherein the adjustable section adjusts at least one of the lower positioning of the big toe area with respect to the heel area and the lower positioning of the big toe area with respect to the outer edge area.
MIDSOLE, SOLE ASSEMBLY AND FOOTWEAR FOR WALKING AND RUNNING
Provided herein are mid-soles, sole assemblies, footwear inserts and articles of footwear for walking and running. The midsoles include three cushioning members where the height of the midsole provides a zero drop elevation. The midsole architecture provides dynamic variable resistance that improves performance by using different densities and angles of component mid-sole members that will allow the wearer to move through a full range of motion during walking or running with muscle effort remaining constant while shifting the workload from muscles that have limited power in certain positions, to those with more explosive and endurance capabilities in those same positions.
ATHLETIC SHOE HAVING A CROSS-TRAINING CONFIGURATION AND A WEIGHT-TRAINING CONFIGURATION
An athletic shoe is selectively configurable between a weight-training configuration and a cross-training configuration. The athletic shoe includes an upper portion configured to receive a foot and a first sole portion connected to the upper portion. The first sole portion has an inner surface and an outer surface opposite the inner surface. The outer surface is configured to contact a training surface when the athletic shoe is in the cross-training configuration. The athletic shoe also includes a second sole portion removably connected to the first sole portion when the athletic shoe is in the weight-training configuration. The second sole portion includes a first surface and a second surface. The first surface is configured to contact the training surface and the second surface is configured to contact the outer surface when the athletic shoe is in the weight-training configuration.
STACKED CUSHIONING ARRANGEMENT FOR SOLE STRUCTURE
A sole structure for an article of footwear is provided. The sole structure includes an outsole having a ground-engaging surface and an upper surface formed on an opposite side of the outsole than the ground-engaging surface. A first cushion is disposed proximate to a medial side of the sole structure and includes a first fluid-filled chamber attached to the upper surface of the outsole and a second fluid-filled chamber attached to the first fluid-filled chamber and disposed between the first fluid-filled chamber and the upper. A second cushion is disposed proximate to a lateral side of the sole structure and includes a third fluid-filled chamber attached to the upper surface of the outsole and a fourth fluid-filled chamber attached to the third fluid-filled chamber and disposed between the third fluid-filled chamber and the upper. The second cushion is fluidly isolated from the first cushion.
FOOTWEAR HEEL STRUCTURE
A heel structure for an article of footwear protrudes rearward from a heel region of an article of footwear in a direction generally aligned with the longitudinal orientation of the footwear article.
Athletic positioning apparatus and applications thereof
An apparatus includes a heel section, a mid-foot section, and a toe section. The heel section, the mid-foot section, and the toe section collectively have a geometric shape having a first slope of a polarity along an inner edge of the apparatus from the toe section to the heel section and a second slope of the polarity along the inner edge of the apparatus to an outer edge of the apparatus at the toe section.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR WITH HEEL EXTENDER
An article of footwear includes a sole structure that has a heel portion with a rear, a lateral side, and a medial side. The article of footwear includes a heel extender that has a rear segment disposed at the rear of the heel portion, a lateral arm disposed at the lateral side of the heel portion, and a medial arm disposed at the medial side of the heel portion. The heel extender has a protuberance that establishes a rearmost extent of the article of footwear. The sole structure has a first hardness and the protuberance has a second hardness greater than the first hardness.
