ARTICLES OF FOOTWEAR WITH ADAPTIVE-HEIGHT BLADDER ELEMENTS

Articles of footwear can include an adaptive-height sole structure that includes a variable height bladder system. The sole structure can include one or more bladder systems positioned between a midsole and a banking plate. The banking plate can change its relative orientation to the midsole based on an inflation level of the bladder systems.

SHOE WITH CUT IN THE SOLE

A shoe includes a sole with a midsole, and an upper portion joined to the sole. The midsole includes a cut having a linear shape, and a depth from a first height position to a second height position in a thickness direction. The cut is configured such that a part of the cut has no contact point with an other part of the cut, and the cut forms a V shape at the deepest part on a cross section when opposite inner walls of the cut are spaced from each other.

Articles including coated fibers and methods of making coated fibers and articles

The present disclosure is directed to articles that include one or more coated fiber(s) (i.e., fiber(s) with a cured coating disposed thereon), where the coating includes a matrix of crosslinked polymers and optionally a colorant (e.g., pigment particles or dye or both). The cured coating is a product of crosslinking a coating composition including uncrosslinked polymers (e.g., a dispersion of uncrosslinked polymers in a carrier, wherein the uncrosslinked polymers are crosslinked to form the matrix of crosslinked polymers). The present disclosure is also directed to articles including the coated fibers, methods of forming the coated fibers and articles, and methods of making articles including the coated fibers.

Shoe having a sole member and spring element

A shoe includes an upper and a sole coupled to the upper. The sole includes a sole member and a spring element. The sole member has a footbed surface, a bottom surface opposite the footbed surface, a heel side surface, a toe side surface, a medial side surface, and a lateral side surface. The spring element is in contact with the toe side surface of the sole member, the lateral side surface of the sole member, the heel side surface of the sole member, and a portion of the medial side surface of the sole member. The spring element is adapted and configured to support the sole member by resisting deflection due to one or more of lateral deformation of the sole member and longitudinal deformation of the sole member.

FOOTWEAR MIDSOLE, METHOD OF MANUFACTURE AND MOULD FOR THE MANUFACTURE THEREOF
20230071487 · 2023-03-09 · ·

A footwear midsole, method of manufacture and mould for the manufacture thereof, which relates to a footwear midsole and a method for the manufacture of a footwear midsole obtained by moulding. The midsole presents a first body with a hollow or recess that determines perimeter walls in said first body with an intermediate filling that extends above the perimeter walls and a third material, acting as a lining, overlaid on the second material. The method uses a special mould which, in addition to a lower part and an upper part, is equipped with an intermediate piece, such that the method presents a casting phase between the aforementioned walls of a filling layer of said second material, preferably polyurethane.

Article of footwear comprising dandelion foam latex materials
11622599 · 2023-04-11 · ·

An article of footwear comprising a sole and an upper on the sole. The sole comprises a dandelion latex foam material. The dandelion latex foam material comprises dandelion latex and at least one other natural or synthetic polymer. The dandelion latex foam material is between 20% and 80% dandelion latex.

Non-primary hydroxyl group based foams

Foamed pellets contain a thermoplastic polyurethane obtainable or obtained by a process. The process involves reacting a polyol composition (PZ-1) containing at least one hydroxy functionalized polyol (P1) with a maximum of 20% of primary hydroxyl groups with a polyisocyanate (I1), to obtain a polyol composition (PZ-2) containing a prepolymer (PP-1). The process then involves reacting the polyol composition (PZ-2) containing the prepolymer (PP-1) with a composition (C2) containing a chain extender (CE) with a molecular weight<500 g/mol. Foamed pellets are obtained or obtainable by the process. The foamed pellets can be used for the production of a molded body.

PLATE STRUCTURE FOR ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR

A plate for an article of footwear includes a first barrier member and a second barrier member attached to the first barrier member to define an interior void between the first barrier member and the second barrier member. In addition, the plate includes a foam member disposed within and completely filling the interior void.

Knitted component having an auxetic portion and a tensile element
11643760 · 2023-05-09 · ·

An upper for an article of footwear may include a knitted component having an auxetic portion. The auxetic portion may be configured to move between a first position and a second position as the knitted component stretches. The knitted component may also include a tensile strand inlaid within at least one of a course and a wale of the knit element, where the tensile strand extends through the auxetic portion, and where the tensile strand is selectively securable to the knit element via a securement device. The securement device may be spaced from the auxetic portion.

Methods of manufacturing articles having foam particles
11617413 · 2023-04-04 · ·

Methods for manufacturing three-dimensional components of articles, including articles of footwear, apparel, and sporting equipment are provided. The disclosed methods comprise providing a first composition comprising a plurality of foam particles suspended in a liquid polymerizable composition, polymerizing a first portion of the liquid polymerizable composition to form a first layer of polymeric material at least partially encapsulating a first portion of the plurality of foam particles, repeating the polymerizing and forming for at least a second and third iteration, each iteration forming a layer on the previous layer, thereby forming a three-dimensional component having at least three layers, each layer including foam particles at least partially encapsulated by the first polymeric material. Articles manufactured using the disclosed methods are also provided.
