Vacuum formed knit sole system for an article of footwear incorporating a knitted component
A vacuum formed knit sole system for an article of footwear incorporating a knitted component is described. The article of footwear includes a knitted component including a lower portion forming the knit sole system and an upper portion forming a portion of the upper of the article of footwear. A method of vacuum forming the knitted component using an insert member to form the knit sole system is also described. The insert member can be used to form the shape of the knit outsole, including the shape of cleat members, as well as remain within the interior of the upper to reinforce the knit sole system.
Sole structure for article of footwear
A sole structure includes a heel region, a forefoot region, and a midfoot region disposed between the heel and forefoot regions. The sole structure also includes a first fluid-filled segment disposed within the forefoot region and includes a first portion extending continuously from a medial side of the sole structure to a lateral side of the sole structure. The sole structure also includes a second fluid-filled segment disposed between the heel region and the first fluid-filled segment and includes a first portion extending continuously between the medial side and the lateral side. The sole structure also includes a third fluid-filled segment disposed between the first fluid-filled segment and the second fluid-filled segment and includes a first portion extending along one of the medial side and the lateral side and a second portion extending from the first portion toward the other one of the medial side and the lateral side.
SOLE STRUCTURE FOR AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR HAVING LONGITUDINAL EXTENDING BRIDGE PORTIONS WITH AN INTERWOVEN STIFFNESS CONTROLLING DEVICE
A sole plate includes slots spaced apart from each other and extending along a longitudinal axis to define at least one interior bridge portion disposed therebetween. A lateral bridge portion is disposed between a lateral side of the sole plate and a lateral most one of the slots, and a medial bridge portion is disposed between a medial side of the sole plate and a medial most one of the slots. A stiffness controlling device is interlaced between the lateral bridge portion, the interior bridge portions, and the medial bridge portion, and is moveable within the slots, between a first position and a second position, for changing between a first bending stiffness at a specific flex angle when the stiffness controlling device is in the first position, and a second bending stiffness at the specific flex angle when the stiffness controlling device is in the second position.
Outward rotating golf shoes
A golf shoe sole with a pattern configured for outward, one-way rotation includes a pattern with a rotation point pattern. The rotation point pattern includes a center point tread or center cone spike, whereby the golf shoe is configured to rotate about the center point tread of the rotational pattern. The pattern can also include more than one one-way rotation patterns. Each of the one-way rotation patterns include a plurality of one-way guide blades and more than one row of parallel outward one-way rotation guide blades. The pattern can also include one or more circle blades encircling the center cone spike. The one way guide blades contain a slide side that gradually protrudes from the sole on the outward side of the blade and has a tall barb to grip the ground on the inside or stop side of the sole. The heal middle part of the sole is populated with a cone spike or center point tread surrounded by circle blades roughly the same height and mostly square on the top or ground side of the blade. The middle to front part of the sole contains the one-way rotational blades that allow the sole to slide along the ground to one direction but the grip and be stable in all other directions.
Footwear plate
A plate for an article of footwear includes a substrate, a first strand portion attached to the substrate via first stitching, and a second strand portion disposed on the first layer. The first strand portion includes first segments that each extend between two different locations along the substrate to form a first layer on the substrate. The second strand portion includes second segments that each extend between two different locations along the substrate to form a second layer on the first layer.
Sole structure for article of footwear
A sole structure for an article of footwear includes a forefoot region disposed adjacent an anterior end, a heel region disposed adjacent a posterior end, and a mid-foot region disposed intermediate the forefoot region and the heel region. The sole structure further includes fluid-filled bladder having a first segment extending along a medial side in the heel region, a second segment extending along a lateral side in the heel region, and a web area disposed between the first segment and the second segment. Additionally, the sole structure includes an outer sole member having an upper portion extending from a first end in the forefoot region to a second end in the heel region. The second end of the outer sole member is received on a first side of the web area. The outer sole member also includes a rib extending downwardly from the upper portion and defining a cavity.
Uppers and sole structures for articles of footwear
Sole structures and uppers for articles of footwear are described that includes features to enhance footwear flexibility, dexterity, natural motion feel, and/or tackiness. Such articles of footwear may provide enhanced properties and feel for use in skateboarding and other activities.
Natural rubber outsoles and footwear
An elastomer composition includes guayule rubber and a butadiene rubber, with at least about 5 phr guayule rubber based on 100 phr elastomer. The cured rubber has a higher coefficient of friction as compared to a cured rubber of the same formulation except using Hevea rubber rather than guayule rubber.
FOOTWEAR SOLE
The present invention regards a footwear sole including a first component and a base group constrained to the midsole component and provided with a second component or support component as well as a third component or tread component including a plurality of stud elements.
SOLE STRUCTURE FOR ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR WITH SENSORY FEEDBACK SYSTEM
A sole structure includes an insole with a sensory feedback system. The insole includes a first insole layer and a second insole layer coupled to the second insole layer, and the sensory feedback system includes multiple protrusions extending from the second insole layer and through the second insole layer. The protrusions are made from a material that is harder than the material forming the first insole layer. In other words, the hardness of the material forming the protrusions is greater than the hardness of the material forming the first insole layer. The protrusions are placed along a predetermined feedback region of the insole based on the user's needs. As such, the protrusions can provide the user a tactile sensory feedback to the user during golf swing.
