ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTOCONDUCTOR, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC APPARATUS
Provided are an electrophotographic photoconductor that is less likely to cause transfer ghosting even when mounted in an electrophotographic apparatus with high transfer voltage set for high-speed or cleanerless processes, as well as a method of manufacturing the electrophotographic photoconductor, and an electrophotographic apparatus. The electrophotographic photoconductor includes a conductive substrate; an undercoat layer provided on the conductive substrate, and a photosensitive layer provided on the undercoat layer. In the electrophotographic photoconductor, the undercoat layer contains a resin binder and a first filler; and the first filler contains zinc oxide particles that are surface-treated with an N-acylated amino acid or an N-acylated amino acid salt.
FLEXIBLE PRINTED MATERIAL
A method of forming a flexible printed material is described. The method comprises applying a layer of primer onto a flexible substrate; electrostatically printing onto the layer of primer a liquid electrostatic ink composition; applying a curable overprint varnish composition onto the printed electrostatic ink composition and curing the overprint varnish composition using electron beam irradiation. The curable overprint varnish composition comprises an ethylenically unsaturated monomer, an ethylenically unsaturated oligomer, or mixtures thereof, and less than 10 wt. % of a cross-linking additive based on the total weight of the curable overprint varnish composition. A flexible package comprising the flexible printed material is also described.

Electrophotographic photosensitive member, process cartridge, and electrophotographic apparatus
Provided is an electrophotographic photosensitive member in which the generation of a positive ghost image is suppressed under a low-temperature and low-humidity environment, and the occurrence of cracking is suppressed under a high-temperature and high-humidity environment. Also provided are a process cartridge mounted with the electrophotographic photosensitive member, and an electrophotographic apparatus including the process cartridge. The electrophotographic photosensitive member of the present disclosure is characterized in that an undercoat layer contains aluminum oxide particles and titanium oxide particles at a specific mass ratio.

An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a support, an undercoat layer placed on the support, a charge generation layer placed on the undercoat layer, and a charge transport layer placed on the charge generation layer. The undercoat layer contains titanium oxide particles surface-treated with an organosilicon compound that is at least one member selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by formulas (1) to (8) and a polyamide resin. The charge generation layer contains hydroxygallium phthalocyanine.

The undercoat layer contains metal particles and a polyamide resin. The metal particle has a core and a coat layer covering at least a part of the core. The core contains titanium oxide. The coat layer contains at least a metal oxide different from titanium oxide. The metal oxide different from the titanium oxide is located on the outermost surface of the metal particles. The polyamide resin has an amide bond and an alkylene group. The absorption rate of the first peak derived from the amide bond to the second peak derived from the alkylene group to the first absorbance measured by infrared spectroscopy is ≥0.70.

An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes: a support, an undercoat layer, and a photosensitive layer in this order, wherein the undercoat layer comprises a polyamide resin, and titanium oxide particles having been subjected to a surface treatment with an organic silicon compound, when an average primary particle size of the titanium oxide particles having been subjected to the surface treatment with the organic silicon compound is defined as “b” [μm], and a mass ratio of a Si element to TiO.sub.2 in the titanium oxide particles having been subjected to the surface treatment with the organic silicon compound is defined as “c” [mass %], “b” and “c” satisfy a relationship expressed by the following Expression (B), 0.025≤b×c≤0.050, and the photosensitive layer is a monolayer type photosensitive layer comprising a charge generating substance, a hole transporting substance, and an electron transporting substance.
