The present disclosure relates to an electrophotographic printing method comprising electrophotographically printing a liquid electrophotographic composition onto a substrate. The liquid electrophotographic composition comprises a charge adjuvant and a copolymer of a) ethylene and b) methacrylic acid and/or acrylic acid, wherein 80 to 95 weight % of the units of said copolymer are derived from ethylene. The printed substrate is then subjected to electron beam (EB) radiation.

Flexible printed material

Described herein is a process for preparing a flexible printed material. The process may comprise providing a flexible print substrate comprising a primer on a surface of the print substrate, the primer comprising a primer resin; printing an ink composition comprising a thermoplastic resin onto the primer on the surface of the print substrate; and depositing a cross-linking composition comprising a cross-linker onto the printed ink composition disposed on the primer such that the thermoplastic resin of the ink composition is crosslinked and the primer resin of the primer is crosslinked.

Here is provided a method of printing on a substrate, the method comprising: providing a substrate, wherein the substrate has been primed by a primer composition comprising water, an epoxide crosslinker, polyethyleneimine and a glycol co-solvent, the primer composition having formed a primer layer on the substrate, and printing an electrostatic ink on the primer layer. PRINTING SUBSTRATES

The present disclosure relates to a process for printing a substrate. The process comprises applying an analogue primer over a print substrate. A transparent electrophotographic composition comprising a coupling agent is electrophotographically printed on the primer as a coupling layer. An electrophotographic ink composition is then printed on the coupling layer to form an image layer. The coupling layer is disposed between the primer and image layer and in contact with each of the primer and image layer.

FLEXIBLE PRINTED MATERIAL

Described herein is a process for preparing a flexible printed material. The process may comprise providing a flexible print substrate comprising a primer on a surface of the print substrate, the primer comprising a primer resin; printing an ink composition comprising a thermoplastic resin onto the primer on the surface of the print substrate; and depositing a cross-linking composition comprising a cross-linker onto the printed ink composition disposed on the primer such that the thermoplastic resin of the ink composition is crosslinked and the primer resin of the primer is crosslinked.

Primer composition and method

A method for determining coat weight of a transparent primer coating for liquid electrophotographic printing processes is described, in which an optical brightening agent is added to an aqueous transparent primer composition in an amount of less than 0.1 wt. % based on the total solids content of the primer composition to produce a test composition, the test composition is applied onto a test substrate to produce a transparent primer coating, the fluorescence of the transparent primer coating is measured, and the coat weight of the transparent primer coating based on the fluorescence of the transparent primer coating is determined.
