The invention is an article of footwear comprising a waterproof upper (30) material having a breathability of less than 3 mg/cm<2>/h according to ISO (11092, 14268) 14268 (2012). The upper (30) material comprising at least one vent having a vent assembly (31) disposed within the at least one vent. The vent assembly (31) further comprises a waterproof, water vapor permeable functional layer (38) and a plurality of slats (32) disposed adjacent to the functional layer (38) and spaced apart from each other and from the functional layer (38) to provide for water-vapor flow through the vent assembly (31).

An article of footwear comprises a sole structure and an upper. The upper is connected to the sole structure to form an enclosure to at least partially receive a foot. The upper comprises a first panel forming a first portion of the upper and having a first texture, a second panel forming a second portion of the upper and having a second texture, and an embroidery area extending across portions of the first panel and the second panel and having an appearance that replicates the first texture extending into the second texture.

The invention provides a method for manufacturing shoe material containing leather and cloth and a shoe material made therefrom. The method includes the steps of: a) material preparation; b) leather treatment; c) gluing; d) TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) placement; and e) hot pressing. This saves time compared to the sewing process. The shoe material includes a cloth, a leather, a first hot-melt adhesive layer selectively provided on said leather or said cloth, and a TPU film having a second hot-melt adhesive layer covered on the leather and the cloth with the second hot-melt adhesive layer in contact with the leather and the cloth. In this way, the problem of excessive adhesive is avoided.

Footwear for covering a foot of a wearer includes an outsole configured for supporting the foot of the wearer, an upper secured to the outsole and configured for covering the foot of the wearer, an insole located above the outsole within the upper, a midsole located above the outsole and below the insole and first and second laterally adjacent shanks located above the outsole and below the insole. The first shank angles forward and outward from the heel portion to a lateral side of the middle portion and the second shank angles forward and outward from the heel portion to a medial side of the middle portion to form an acute angle therebetween and provide balance and torsional stability for sides of the wearer's foot.

In accordance with embodiments disclosed herein, there are provided methods, systems, and apparatuses for the use, manufacture, and application of an integrated stability chassis for use with professional boxing shoes. For example, there is a boxing shoe, including: a shoe sole having a smooth glide portion and a rotational pivot portion and a grip portion; an integrated stability chassis affixed atop the shoe sole; a lower shoe portion affixed atop the integrated stability chassis to surround a wearer's heel and lower foot, in which the integrated stability chassis suspends the lower shoe portion, in which the lower shoe portion serves as a base for a mid-rear shoe portion, a front shoe portion, and an upper shoe portion; a mid-rear shoe portion to stabilize the ankle of a wearer; a front shoe portion to stabilize the upper front portion of a wearer's foot; and an upper shoe portion to stabilize the lower leg and upper ankle of a wearer. An upper for a shoe adapted to cover a foot of a shoe wearer includes a base fabric layer. The base fabric layer of the upper has a first upper material formed of natural leather and constituting a first upper area, and a second upper material formed of a material other than natural leather and constituting a second upper area. A surface material formed of resin film is fixedly attached on the base fabric layer. The surface material covers both the first and second upper materials so that an outer surface of the base fabric layer can be coated by one surface layer formed of the surface material.

Described are shoes for ball sports including an upper having an outer surface. An actuator is configured to change at least one surface property of a portion of the outer surface of the upper, and a sensor is configured to be sensitive to movements of the shoe. A processing unit is connected to the actuator and the sensor and configured to process sensor data retrieved from the sensor and to cause the actuator to change the at least one surface property of the portion of the outer surface of the upper if a predetermined event is detected in the sensor data.

A stretchable member includes: a flat base made of a stretchable knitted fabric; and a limiting part extending in a stretching direction of the base, formed integrally with the base while having both ends in a length direction knitted in, and fixed to, the base, and configured to limit stretch of the base. The limiting part is longer than the distance between fixing points at which the limiting part is fixed to the base in an unstretched state, and is made of a knitted fabric which has a flat band shape and which is configured to become slack with respect to the base when the base is in the unstretched state.

An upper for an article of footwear and a method of manufacturing the upper for an article of footwear are disclosed. The upper incorporates a textile element with edges that are joined together to define at least a portion of a void for receiving a foot. The joined edges form a plurality of seams within the textile element, including a longitudinal seam extending on the lower region of the upper from a heel region to a forefoot region. Various warp knitting or weft knitting processes, including circular knitting, may be utilized to form the textile element.

An upper for an article of footwear is provided, having a braided structure comprising a first yarn having a first cross-sectional shape and a second yarn having a second cross-sectional shape different than the first cross-sectional shape. The first cross-sectional shape comprises an outer surface parallel to an inner surface in a rectangular orientation. Additionally, the first yarn is oriented such that at least a portion of the outer surface comprises the first side of the first yarn and at least a portion of the inner surface comprises the second side of the first yarn.
