FOOTWEAR UPPER INCORPORATING A KNITTED COMPONENT WITH SOCK AND TONGUE PORTIONS
An upper for an article of footwear may be at least partially formed with a knitted component. The knitted component may include a sock portion and a tongue portion, the sock portion having a hollow structure and a toe area, the hollow structure (a) forming an ankle opening in a heel region of the footwear and (b) extending between the heel region and a forefoot region of the footwear to define a void within the footwear for receiving a foot. The tongue portion may have an elongate configuration (a) located in at least a portion of a length of a throat area of the upper and (b) including at least two knit layers that are coextensive
Shoes for ball sports
Described are shoes for ball sports including an upper having an outer surface. An actuator is configured to change at least one surface property of a portion of the outer surface of the upper, and a sensor is configured to be sensitive to movements of the shoe. A processing unit is connected to the actuator and the sensor and configured to process sensor data retrieved from the sensor and to cause the actuator to change the at least one surface property of the portion of the outer surface of the upper if a predetermined event is detected in the sensor data.
SHOE FOR USER WITH BUNION FEET
FIG. 1 illustrates a shoe with a support structure for a bunion foot, according to one embodiment of the present invention. As disclosed, a shoe with a support for allaying a bunion foot comprising a leather lining, a stretchable fabric and an arch support. The leather lining forms a support structure around the feet of a user. The stretchable fabric is stitched in-line with the leather lining. The arch support is connected inside the leather lining to support a sole of the shoe. The stretchable fabric is attached an inner lining of the shoe. The shoe further comprises a heel counter attached between the inner lining and an upper.
BONDING TO POLYOLEFIN PLATES AND ARTICLES OF FOOTWEAR FORMED THEREFROM
Methods of bonding components are provided that provide for improved bonding when one or both of the components include a polyolefin resin. Articles of footwear, athletic apparel, sporting equipment, and portions thereof are also provided including the components, at least one of which includes a polyolefin resin, and the component are adhesively bonded together by methods and/or compositions described herein. Methods can include (i) treating a surface of the first component with high-energy discharge to produce a treated surface; (ii) applying chlorinated polyolefin primer to the treated surface to produce a primed surface; (iii) applying waterborne polyurethane adhesive to the primed surface to produce an adhesive surface; and (iv) contacting a surface of the second component to the adhesive surface to adhesively bond the components. In some aspects, the first component is a plate including a textile disposed on a surface of the plate.
BONDING TO POLYOLEFIN TEXTILES AND UPPERS AND ARTICLES OF FOOTWEAR FORMED THEREFROM
Methods of bonding components are provided that provide for improved bonding when one or both of the components include a textile component including a polyolefin resin. Articles of footwear, athletic apparel, sporting equipment, and portions thereof are also provided including the components, at least one of which includes a polyolefin textile component, and the component are adhesively bonded together by methods and/or compositions described herein. Methods can include (i) applying a chlorinated polyolefin primer to a surface of the textile component to produce a primed surface; (ii) applying a first waterborne polyurethane adhesive to the primed surface to produce an adhesive surface; and (iv) contacting a surface of the second component to the adhesive surface to adhesively bond the second component to the textile component. In some aspects, the textile component is an upper including an adhesive bond to a sole component such as a plate.
Coated shoe upper
The present invention concerns a shoe upper, including (a) a first sheet, (b) a second sheet, (c) a connecting region in which the first sheet is connected to the second sheet, and (d) a first coating. The first coating is applied onto a first region of the first sheet, a second region of the second sheet, and a third region of the connecting region. The first region, the second region, and the third region are connected.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR INCORPORATING A KNITTED COMPONENT WITH TENSILE STRAND
An upper for an article of footwear is configured to be connected to a sole structure and is configured to receive a foot. The upper includes a knitted component having a strobel portion that is configured to be disposed underneath the foot. The strobel portion defines an interior surface and an exterior surface of the knitted component. The strobel portion defines a strobel passage between the interior surface and the exterior surface. Also, the upper includes a tensile strand that extends through the strobel passage.
SHOE WITH MIDSOLE
A shoe comprising an upper, a sole and a midsole that comprises a plurality of projections received inside corresponding recesses defined in the sole. The recesses are blind at a relative bottom surface. One end of the projections is in contact with the bottom surface of the recesses at least in a forefoot region such that, in the course of a walking movement, the projections are compressed by the foot of the wearer.
Milled leather shoe upper
The present invention relates to a part of a shoe, in particular a shoe upper, a shoe with such a part and a method for the manufacture. According to an aspect of the invention a part of a shoe is provided which comprises an area comprising a contiguous piece of natural and/or synthetic leather, wherein the area comprises a first sub-area and a second sub-area, each sub-area having a size of more than 3 cm2, in particular more than 4 cm2, wherein the leather has a reduced thickness in the second sub-area compared to the first sub-area, and wherein the reduced thickness is obtained by milling off a first surface layer of the leather in the entire second sub-area.
COATED SHOE UPPER
