SHEET, SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS AND SHEET PROCESSING METHOD
A sheet for a laser printer includes a plurality of fibers, and a binding agent for binding the plurality of fibers, in which an abundance of the binding agent on a surface of the sheet is smaller than an abundance of the binding agent in a center in a thickness direction of the sheet.
Image forming apparatus and image forming method
An image forming apparatus includes a first image forming part that forms a first image on a print medium using a photoluminescent developer containing a photoluminescent pigment; a second image forming part that forms a second image on the print medium using a coloring developer containing a coloring material; and a lamination part that laminates the first image and the second image on the print medium, wherein a viscoelastic phase angle (A) of the coloring developer and a viscoelastic phase angle (B) of the photoluminescent developer when measured at 125[ C.] using a viscoelasticity measuring device satisfy follow:
21.1[](A.Math.B)31.6[]. where A means a viscoelastic phase angle of the coloring developer, B means a viscoelastic phase angle of the photoluminescent developer.
Intermediate transfer member
An intermediate transfer member (ITM) for use with a printing system, the ITM having (a) a support layer; and (b) a release layer having an ink reception surface and a second surface opposing the ink reception surface, the second surface attached to the support layer, the release layer formed of an addition-cured, hydrophobic silicone material, wherein the release surface of the release layer has relatively hydrophilic properties with respect to the addition-cured, hydrophobic silicone material.
Emulsion aggregation toner for sensor and antibacterial applications
Provided is a toner that has a plurality of toner particles. Each toner particle can include a binder resin core and a shell disposed about the binder resin core. The binder resin core can include at least one binder resin. The shell can include a plurality of metal nanoparticles. The binder resin core can be prepared by forming an aggregate of the binder resin in which metallic nanoparticles are not present.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR TREATING A SUBSTRATE AND FOR IMPROVING ADHESION OF AN IMAGE TO A TREATED SUBSTRATE
A method for treating a substrate is provided herein. The method includes providing a substrate and applying a composition to the substrate to form the treated substrate. The composition includes a binder, a binder additive, and an aluminum salt. A method for improving adhesion of an image to the treated substrate is also provided herein. The method includes providing the substrate, applying the composition to the substrate to form the treated substrate, and applying a liquid toner to the treated substrate to form the image on the treated substrate. A printed material exhibiting improved adhesion of the image to the treated substrate is also provided herein. The printed material includes a treated substrate. The treated substrate includes the substrate and a coating disposed on the substrate and formed from the composition. The printed material further includes the image disposed on the treated substrate and formed from the liquid toner.
DRINKING OR EATING VESSEL
There is provided a drinking or eating vessel comprising an inner surface that defines a volume for receiving liquid or solid food and an outer surface that supports a polymeric coating and a decorative layer, wherein the polymeric coating comprises a polymer formed by curing a coating mixture on the outer surface of the drinking or eating vessel, said coating mixture comprising a matting agent, wherein the polymeric coating has an inner surface in contact with the drinking or eating vessel and an outer surface in contact with the decorative layer, and wherein the decorative layer comprises a dry toner image applied to the outer surface of the polymeric coating. Also provided is a corresponding process for producing the drinking or eating vessel.
Textile printing
Herein is described a method of printing an image on a textile. The method comprises electrophotographically printing an image onto a textile substrate using an electrophotographic ink composition, applying a coating composition comprising a polymer and a crosslinking agent to the printed electrophotographic ink, and crosslinking the applied coating composition.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A MULTI-LAYER ARTICLE
There is disclosed a method of manufacturing a multi-layered article including a finished outer surface optionally having particular surface properties. The article can be a self-supported strip having a smooth outer surface. The method is, for example, suitable for the preparation of multi-layered articles such as a flexible intermediate transfer member (ITM) for use in an indirect printing system. Uses of such articles are also disclosed.
INTERMEDIATE TRANSFER MEMBER
