Fixing device and image forming apparatus
A fixing device includes a movable belt; and a planar heat-generating section that is in contact with the belt and in which, among plural heat-generating portions provided in a movement direction of the belt, a heat-generating portion on an upstream side in the movement direction of the belt has a larger heat generation amount than a heat-generating portion on a downstream side.
Fixing device
A fixing device includes a tubular body that forms a nip with a pressure member to fix a recording material onto a recording medium, a heater inside the tubular body and facing a heated region of the tubular body in a first direction, and a heat conductive member that has a thermal conductivity larger in a second direction crossing the first direction and parallel to an axial direction of the tubular body than in the first direction. The heat conductive member includes an end portion and a central portion along the second direction, and the end portion has a higher density than the central portion.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum, a developing device configured to supply toner onto the photosensitive drum, a transfer device configured to transfer the toner supplied onto the photosensitive drum onto a sheet, a spraying device configured to spray a fixing liquid toward the sheet onto which the toner has been transferred, the spraying device including a housing configured to accommodate the fixing liquid and nozzles configured to spray the fixing liquid inside the housing, and a collecting device configured to collect the fixing liquid sprayed from the nozzles and did not adhere to the sheet. The collecting device includes a collection tray configured to accommodate the fixing liquid, a collection pipe connected to the collection tray and configured to allow the fixing liquid in the collection tray to pass therethrough, and a collection pump configured to send the fixing liquid in the collection pipe toward the housing.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a first casing including a transfer unit, a second casing including a fixing unit, and a third casing provided between the first casing and the second casing and including an intermediary feeding member. The first casing includes a first discharging port discharging a recording material with a toner image. The second casing includes a first receiving port receiving the recording material with the toner image. A height from an installing surface of the image forming apparatus to the first receiving port in a vertical direction is different from a height from the installing surface to the first discharging port. The intermediary feeding member of the third casing is provided obliquely in the vertical direction from a second receiving port receiving the recording material from the first discharging port to a second discharging port delivering the recording material to the first receiving port.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a fixing belt, a steering roller, a pressure rotation member, and a control unit. The pressure rotation member forms a nip portion with the fixing belt to convey a recording material. In continuously performing fixing on recording materials, the control unit controls the steering roller such that a distance between a center position of the fixing belt when an operation to tilt the steering roller is performed for a first time after the center position is moved away from a center position of a moving range of the fixing belt and the center position of the moving range is smaller in a period after a last but one recording material before the pressure rotation member enters a separated state from the fixing belt passes through the nip portion than in a period before the recording material passes through the nip portion.
Fixing device and image forming apparatus
A fixing device includes a fixing belt that is endless and rotatable. A nip formation pad is disposed opposite an inner circumferential face of the fixing belt via a lubricant. A pressure roller sandwiches the fixing belt together with the nip formation pad to form a pressing region through which a recording medium is conveyed. A cap is disposed opposite a lateral end of the fixing belt in an axial direction of the fixing belt. A seal is tubular and contacts an outer circumferential face of the fixing belt in at least a part of an inner circumferential face of the seal. The seal seals a gap between the cap and the fixing belt. The seal includes a non-perpendicular portion that is not perpendicular to a circumferential direction of the fixing belt and defines a slit.
Developing device
A developing device includes a developer container configured to contain a developer, a developing carrying member configured to carry and feed the developer to a developing position, and a regulating member configured to regulate an amount of the developer carried by the developer carrying member, wherein the developer carrying member includes a magnet provided non-rotatably and stationarily inside the developer carrying member, and wherein the developer carrying member is provided with information regarding magnetic flux density of the magnet.
FIXING DEVICE
In a fixing device, a first fixing member and a second fixing member are configured to form a nip in combination, and an arm biased by a first spring with a first biasing force provides a nip pressure. A cam rotatably arranged to cause the arm to move against the first biasing force has a first cam surface used to change the nip pressure from a first pressure to a second pressure smaller than the first pressure, and a second cam surface of which an angle of action is greater than that of the first cam surface to change the nip pressure from the second pressure to a third pressure smaller than the second pressure. A maximum pressure angle at the second cam surface is smaller than a maximum pressure angle at the first cam surface.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCLUDING TEMPERATURE CONTROL DEVICE
According to one embodiment, a temperature control device stores a fixing device temperature estimation value and a storage time obtained by WAE control in a memory at any time during operation. After an electric power supply to the temperature control device is stopped, the next time the electric power supply is started, an electric power supply stop period until the electric power supply is started is calculated. If the electric power supply stop period is shorter than a set time, the WAE control is started by using the stored fixing device temperature estimation value, and if the electric power supply stop period exceeds the set time, the WAE control is started based on an initial set value.
