IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
In an image forming apparatus, upon receipt of a printing instruction, a controller starts rotation of a heating member, starts rotation of a photoconductor drum when a standby time has elapsed from a time of the start of the rotation of the heating member, starts conveyance of a sheet after the start of the rotation of the photoconductor drum, and forms a toner image on the sheet after the start of the conveyance of the sheet. The controller is configured to be operated in one of selectable modes including a multicolor mode in which a toner image is formed using both of toner of a first color and a second color and a monochrome mode in which a toner image is formed using toner of the second color only. The standby time adopted in the monochrome mode is longer than the standby time adopted in the multicolor mode.
Motor control apparatus, sheet conveyance apparatus, and image forming apparatus
An apparatus according to the aspect of the embodiments includes a phase determiner configured to determine a rotational phase of a rotor, a speed determiner configured to determine a rotational speed of the rotor, a controller having a first control mode for controlling the motor by supplying constant currents to windings, and a discriminator configured to discriminate whether a rotation of the motor is abnormal based on the rotational speed when the rotational speed corresponding to a command speed is equal to or higher than a predetermined value in a state where the controller is controlling the motor in the first control mode. When a signal output from the discriminator indicates that the rotation of the motor is abnormal, the controller stops the motor. When the signal output from the discriminator indicates that the rotation is not abnormal, the controller continues a drive of the motor.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a stacking portion, a pickup roller, a motor, an image forming unit, and a controller. Upon receiving an instruction for starting a first image forming job, the controller performs an initial operation of supplying current to a motor winding of the motor in a stop state and determining a phase of the rotor based on the flowing current. Based on the determined phase, the controller supplies current to rotate the rotor from its stop state and holds the rotor at a first phase when the first job ends. Upon receiving start instructions for a second image forming job within a period until a predetermined time elapses from when the rotor is held at the first phase, the controller rotates the rotor without performing the initial operation. The controller stops supplying current to the winding if no instructions are not received for starting the second job.
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM, METHOD OF PRINTING IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image forming system includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry generates print image data for printing a first image in a print area on a conveyance medium. The processing circuitry controls printing on the conveyance medium based on the print image data. The processing circuitry determines a position at which a second image is printed in a cut area, based on a position of a cutting mark, to generate the print image data including the second image, the second image including identification information to identify each page of the conveyance medium, the cut area being an area to be cut in the print area.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD FOR IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING CONTROL PROGRAM OF IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus according to the present disclosure includes: a hardware processor configured to control an image former on a basis of a job pertaining to a printing execution command. The hardware processor is configured to divide the job pertaining to the printing execution command into a plurality of shortjobs, and configured to stop conveyance of the roll sheet and forcibly eject degraded toner from a developing device of the image former at a pause timing between short jobs temporally adjacent to each other among the plurality of short jobs; and the hardware processor sets a job content of each of the plurality of short jobs such that an image of a printing target is inverted upside down for each job switching of the plurality of short jobs.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS HAVING SCANNING OPTICAL SYSTEM TO FORM ON PHOTOSENSITIVE MEMBER N BEAM SPOTS SEPARATED BY M SCAN LINES
In an image forming apparatus, a scanning optical system forms on a photosensitive member N beam spots. Each beam spot scans along a scan line on the photosensitive member for one cycle. A center-to-center distance of any neighboring two beam spots is separated by M scan lines. M is a natural number larger than or equal to two. For each cycle, the memory controller reads adjacent sets of line data for N scan lines from the page memory, writes the adjacent sets of line data for N scan lines to the storage areas identified by a plurality of successive addresses of the line memory, selects addresses identifying storage areas storing unadjacent sets of line data having non-successive two scan lines separated by M scan lines; and outputs the unadjacent sets of line data stored in the storage areas identified by the selected addresses to the N laser emitting members.
