An image forming apparatus comprises a first apparatus and a second apparatus. A cable-side connector of an electrical cable extending from the second apparatus is connected to a first-apparatus-side connector provided in the first apparatus. The cable-side connector is provided on a side of the first apparatus. The image forming apparatus comprises an opening portion provided in the first apparatus and through which the cable-side connector is connectable to the first-apparatus-side connector from an outside of the first apparatus; a lid that covers the opening portion; an attaching portion provided on the lid so as to attach the lid to the first apparatus; an engaging portion provided on the lid so as to be disengageably engaged with the opening portion; an outlet portion provided on the lid and through which the electrical cable extends to the outside of the first apparatus; and an attachment member attached to the electrical cable.
Image forming system and image forming apparatus
A discharge unit discharges a sheet having an image thereon. A switching unit switches between stacking the sheet discharged from the discharge unit on a stacking unit or conveying the sheet from the discharge unit toward an image reading apparatus. A conveyance unit conveys the sheet conveyed via the switching unit to a reading unit. A cooling unit cools the sheet discharged from the discharge unit or cools the reading unit.
Image forming apparatus having a normal mode and a power saving mode
An image forming apparatus has a power supply portion, an operation panel, a document set portion, a plurality of sensing portions including a document set sensing portion that outputs a document set signal at a first level if the document is set, and control portions. The control portions, at transition to the power saving mode, stores flag data if the document set signal is at the first level, and when the level of any of the status signals from the plurality of sensing portions changes while in the power saving mode, even if the level of the document set signal is the first level, if the flag data is stored, the control portion maintains the electric power supply to the operation panel as the electric power supply expected in the power saving mode.
Electrical cable connecting apparatus, method for connecting electrical cable, and image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus main body (apparatus main body) and an automatic document feeder mounted on the apparatus main body are provided, and a cable-side connector provided at a front end of an electrical cable extending from the automatic document feeder is removably connected to a board-side connector provided on a circuit board of the apparatus main body. In this configuration, an opening portion is provided in a back face of a housing of the apparatus main body at a position opposing the board-side connector, a lid that covers this opening portion is attached to a front end portion of the electrical cable by an attachment member, and this lid is configured so as to be attachable to the opening portion by a hook and fixing by screwing by means of a screw insertion boss.
Image reading device and image forming apparatus
An image reading device includes an image reader movable along an image reading face, a casing to house the image reader, including a restraint holder, and a restraint to be held by the restraint holder of the casing and configured to restrict movement of the image reader. The restraint includes an operation portion to be disposed outside the casing. The operation portion is operated to move the restraint, in the restraint holder, to: a restricting position to restrict movement of the image reader; a first unlock position to cancel restriction of movement of the image reader; and a second unlock position at which movement of the image reader is not restricted. At the first unlock position, movement of the restraint to the restricting position is allowed. From the second unlock position, movement to the restricting position is less smooth than movement from the first unlock position to the restricting position.

An image forming apparatus includes a printer portion; an image reading portion rotatable relative to the printer portion; a discharge portion configured to stack the recording material discharged from an inside of the printer portion, the discharge portion being supported rotatably relative to the printer portion; and a regulating member provided between the discharge portion and the image reading portion and configured to regulate movement of the recording material stacked on the discharge portion. When the image forming apparatus is seen in a rotational axis direction of the image reading portion, at least a part of the regulating member in a state in which the image reading portion and the discharge portion are open away from the printer portion is hidden inside a contour of a casing of the image reading portion.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a controller configured to perform an acquisition processing of acquiring a preceding command, a preparation processing, and a printing processing. In a case where the controller determines that a performance condition of the printing processing is satisfied, the controller is configured to perform the preparation processing in response to acquisition of the preceding command, and the printing processing in accordance with a print instruction. In a case where the controller determines that the performance condition is not satisfied, the controller is configured not to perform the preparation processing in response to the acquisition of the preceding command. In a case where the controller determines that the performance condition is satisfied after the controller determines that the performance condition is not satisfied, the controller is configured to perform the preparation processing and the printing processing in accordance with the print instruction.

The home port is installed in the substrate processing apparatus to temporarily mount a nozzle for discharging a process liquid to a substrate, and includes a main body having a space therein, a nozzle holder provided at an upper portion of the main body and configured to mount the nozzle, an inclined surface formed below the nozzle holder in the space, a first supply pipe configured to discharge a rinse liquid to a tip of the nozzle, a second supply pipe configured to inject the rinse liquid into the main body, a conductive wire configured to electrically connect the inclined surface and the first supply pipe, and a first switch installed on the conductive wire.
Image reading device, pressure plate opening/closing detection method, and image forming apparatus
An image reading device including a contact glass; a reading unit; a pressure plate; a pressure-plate opening/closing sensor; and circuitry. The circuitry determines a presence or absence of external light input to a space between the pressure plate and the surface of the contact glass based on image data obtained by the reading unit when the light source is turned off; compares read data according to light emitted from the light source and received by the image sensor when the pressure plate is closed, with read data of a reference value obtained when the pressure plate is completely closed, to obtain a difference and determine a state of the read data based on the difference; and determines whether the pressure plate is open or closed based on a determination result of the presence or absence of external light and on the difference.

An image reading apparatus includes a sheet conveyance portion, an image reading portion configured to read an image on the sheet conveyed by the sheet conveyance portion, and an opening/closing device configured to openably and closeably support the sheet conveyance portion with respect to the image reading portion. The opening/closing device includes a first opening/closing unit and a second opening/closing unit. The first opening/closing unit is provided at, in a movement direction of the movable portion, a position in a first distance from a reading position. The second opening/closing unit is provided at a position in a second distance longer than the first distance from the reading position in the movement direction. The second opening/closing unit includes an attenuation device configured to attenuate vibration energy of the sheet conveyance portion, and the first opening/closing unit does not include an attenuation device.
