A method of converting developer in a printer cartridge, comprising the steps: providing a developer unit of a printer cartridge; removing a first mixture of a developer and a first toner from the developer unit; sieving the first mixture of the developer and the first toner; removing the first toner from the first mixture of the developer and the first toner; mixing a second toner to the developer to create a second mixture of the developer and the second toner, wherein the second toner is a different toner than the first toner; and adding the second mixture of the developer and the second toner into the developer unit of the printer cartridge.

A method of converting a CMYK toner printer to print with a white toner, comprising the steps: providing a CMYK toner printer; wherein the toner printer has four printing cartridges; wherein the four printing cartridges comprise a black toner printing cartridge, a cyan toner printing cartridge, a magenta toner printing cartridge, and a yellow toner printing cartridge; removing the black toner printing cartridge from the toner printer, such that there is an empty toner cartridge slot; providing a white toner printing cartridge that is filled with a white toner; installing the white toner printing cartridge into the empty toner cartridge slot; and providing raster image processor (RIP) software, such that the printer is able to incorporate the white toner into one or more images printed by the printer.

A cartridge includes: a housing; a storage medium; and a holder. The storage medium has an electrical contact surface. The holder is movable relative to the housing. The holder includes: a first holder member; and a second holder member. The first holder member has a pawl portion and is configured to hold the electrical contact surface. The second holder member includes a corner portion. The pawl portion is engageable with the corner portion. The second holder member has a through-hole. An engagement part of the pawl portion engaging with the corner portion is accessible from outside the second holder member through the through-hole in a state where the pawl portion engages with the corner portion.
CARTRIDGE INCLUDING HOLDER THAT FACILITATES RECYCLING OF STORAGE MEDIUM
A cartridge includes: a housing; a storage medium having an electrical contact surface; and a holder movable relative to the housing. The holder includes a first holder member and a second holder member movable relative to the first holder member. The first holder member includes at least one pawl and holds the electrical contact surface at one end surface of the first holder member in a first direction crossing the electrical contact surface. The second holder member includes at least one corner part engageable with the at least one pawl to provide an engaging portion therebetween. The second holder member has a through-hole that is open at another end face of the second holder member in the first direction. The engaging portion is accessible from an outside of the holder through the through-hole.

Provided is a method for removing a first holder member from a second holder member in a cartridge. The cartridge includes: a housing; the first holder member holding an electrical contact surface; and the second holder member supported by the housing. The first holder member includes a pawl, and the second holder member includes a corner part engageable with the pawl of the first holder member. The electrical contact surface is held at one end surface of the first holder member in a first direction crossing the electrical contact surface. The method includes: disengaging the pawl from the corner part; and separating the housing and the second holder member from the first holder member in the first direction away from the one end surface of the first holder member.
CARTRIDGE AND METHOD FOR DISASSEMBLING CARTRIDGE
A cartridge includes a frame, a first side member, and a first fixing member. The frame includes a first end in a first direction, a first positioning portion disposed on the first end, and a first rotation stopping portion disposed on the first end. The first side member is attached to the first end and includes a first to-be-positioned portion to be engaged with the first positioning portion and a first rotation to-be-stopped portion to be engaged with the first rotation stopping portion. The first fixing member is fastened to the first positioning portion or the first rotation stopping portion.
