An article of footwear comprising an upper defining a forefoot region, a midfoot region, and a heel region of the article of footwear, and a sole structure coupled with the upper. The sole structure includes a midsole and an outsole coupled with a bottom surface of the midsole. A void structure is provided within the sole structure, which includes a plurality of voids defining channels that extend through an entire width of the sole structure. The void structure includes a plurality of first voids in the shape of a vertical lemniscate and a plurality of second voids in the shape of a horizontal lemniscate.

An article of apparel includes a composite material. The composite material includes a pliable first layer and a resilient second layer, where the first and second layers are secured to each other via a patterned strand network. In forming the composite material, the second layer is stretched and maintained under tension while the first layer is secured to the second layer via the patterned strand network. The tension on the second layer is then released, resulting in contraction of the second layer in relation to the first layer and an outward buckling or protrusion of the first layer in relation to the second layer to form protruding cells along the composite material that are bounded by portions of the patterned strand network. The patterned strand network can be formed using embroidery with one or more auxetic patterns in the stitching.

An upper for an article of footwear, the upper including a base layer defining a least a portion of the upper and polymer threads stitched to the base layer. The polymer threads may include a core composed of a first material and a coating composed of a second material, where the melting point of the first material is higher than the melting point of the second material. The polymer threads may be bonded to the base layer by the coating of the polymer threads. The polymer threads may include one or more polymer thread sets stitched in pattern(s) on area(s) of an outer surface of the base layer to provide targeted characteristics to area(s) on the upper. In some embodiments, the polymer threads may be bonded to the base layer with heat and/or pressure.

An article of apparel includes a composite material. The composite material includes a pliable first layer and a resilient second layer, where the first and second layers are secured to each other via a patterned strand network. In forming the composite material, the second layer is stretched and maintained under tension while the first layer is secured to the second layer via the patterned strand network. An article of footwear flat pattern with an integrated collar liner is provided. The flat pattern has a flat upper with a top surface forming an exterior of a dimensionally formed article of footwear and a bottom surface facing an internal cavity of the dimensionally formed article of footwear. The flat pattern also includes a collar liner that is coupled with the flat upper at an ankle opening. The collar liner has an interior surface and an opposite exterior surface. The exterior surface forms an exposed surface of the internal cavity of the dimensionally formed article and the interior surface faces the flat upper bottom surface within the internal cavity of the dimensionally formed article. However, the collar liner external surface faces the flat upper top surface at an ankle opening coupling location.

A woven textile includes a woven body and an engaging portion. The woven body is woven by at least one thread and having a plurality through holes. The engaging portion comprises at least one filament. The at least one filament is woven with the at least one thread and extends with the at least one thread. The at least one filament extends away from the woven body for a distance and extends reversely back to the woven body to form a loop outside at least one fringe of the woven body. The at least one filament forms a plurality of the loops at intervals.

An upper for an article of footwear may include a first knit layer, a second knit layer, and a third layer located between the first knit layer and the second knit layer, the third layer including a material with a melting point of 150 C. or less, where the first knit layer and the second knit layer are secured via the material of the third layer. A first zone may be included, where the first knit layer, the second knit layer, and the third layer are coextensive in the first zone. A second zone may be included, where the first knit layer, the second knit layer, and the third layer are coextensive in the second zone. The first zone may have a first stretch resistance and the second zone may have a second stretch resistance, where the first stretch resistance is greater than the second stretch resistance.

An article of footwear includes an upper including a first upper portion that defines an ankle opening. The article of footwear includes a footwear plate including a composite material. The footwear plate includes a covered plate portion and an exposed plate portion coupled to the exposed plate portion. The article of footwear further includes a sole structure including a second upper portion. The second upper portion is an extension of the first upper portion and partially extends around the footwear plate. The second upper portion defines a ground-facing surface and an inner upper surface opposite the ground-facing surface. The second upper portion defines a sole opening extending through the inner upper surface and the ground-facing surface. The second upper portion covers the covered plate portion, and the exposed plate portion is aligned with the sole opening to expose the exposed plate portion.

Provided is a shoe including an upper composed of a fiber sheet, the fiber sheet including: a base sheet including yarns having heat shrinkability; and a plurality of chip members, each of which is a sheet having an area smaller than that of the base sheet, the base sheet and the plurality of chip members being layered and joined together.

An object of the present invention is to provide a shoe including an upper that is easily conformed to a shape of a last when it is shaped. The shoe includes an upper made of a fiber sheet that includes: a first layer made of knitted fabric or woven fabric that includes yarns having a heat shrinkability and has inner gaps; and a second layer layered on the first layer and made of nonwoven fabric, knitted fabric or woven fabric, and being integrated with the first layer by needle punching.
