SHOE UPPER, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND SHOE
Provided are a shoe upper that is capable of increasing the joining strength of joined portions of different members, protecting end portions, and improving contact with a foot and the appearance of the shoe, a method for producing the same, and a shoe. In a shoe upper of the present invention, different members are joined together through embroidery covering an end portion of at least one of the members, and at least one member forms a three-dimensional shape. A method for producing a shoe upper includes a step of joining different members together through basting such that at least one of the members has a three-dimensional shape, a step of temporarily fixing peripheral portions of joined portions of the basted upper to a base material with running stitches such that all the members have a two-dimensional shape, a step of joining the joined portions together through embroidery to cover an end portion of at least one of the members, and a step of removing the base material from a portion other than the joined portions, and returning at least one member to a three-dimensional shape by undoing the running stitches.
Shoemaking machine having ultrasonic positioning function
A shoemaking machine includes a sewing device having a cantilever unit, a work platform and a clamping frame unit. The cantilever unit has a sewing needle extending toward the clamping frame unit. A driving device is disposed on the cantilever unit, and includes a movable seat that is movable toward and away from the clamping frame unit. An ultrasonic positioning device is connected to the cantilever unit, and includes a welding head facing the clamping frame unit. The clamping device is connected to the movable seat and has a clamping space. The ultrasonic positioning device is inserted into the clamping space and is clamped by the clamping device.
One piece footwear
A blank of flexible sheet material used to form and article of footwear upper and an article of footwear having a sole attached to the upper. According to one embodiment the blank of flexible sheet material includes a main bottom portion having a front toe area, a rear heel area and opposed sides, said main bottom portion being in the general shape of a foot sole. A front strap portion having an elongated shape extends outward from one of the opposed sides of the main bottom portion near the front toe area and having a free end, and a pair of heel-strap flaps extend outward from opposite sides of the main bottom portion near the rear heel area and configured to form an enclosed heel portion and a rear strap of the shoe upper. According to another embodiment the front strap is formed separately from the main bottom portion and pair of heel-strap flaps.
BRAIDED ARTICLE WITH REINFORCED STITCH
In one embodiment, an article of footwear including an upper is described. The upper includes a braid body and at least one component. The braid body includes at least one braided layer. A reinforcement element is attached to the braid body along a connection area using a connecting stitch. The component is attached to the braid body at the connection area using a zigzag stitch including a thread that passes through the component at a first location and passes through the reinforcement element and the braid body at a second location. The second location extends beyond the connecting stitch attaching the reinforcement element to the braid body.
METHOD OF MAKING ARTICLE WITH RIBBON STRUCTURE AND EMBROIDERED EDGES
An article of footwear is formed with an upper including a ribbon structure. Ribbon elements can be laid down in straight and winding sections, and the ribbon elements can be stitched or attached to a backing layer. A periphery of the ribbon structure can be embroidered to tack down any raised portions of the ribbon at the periphery.
Multiple layer knitted components having multi-bed area
In one aspect of the disclosure, a knitted component for use in an article of footwear may include a first layer with a multi-bed first area having a first surface and an opposite facing second surface. The knitted component may include a second layer with a second area overlapping the first area. The second area may have a first surface and an opposite facing second surface. The knitted component may include a plurality of interlayer knit stitches interlooping at least one yarn of the first layer with at least one yarn of the second layer at an interface between the second surfaces of the first and second areas. The interior surfaces of the first area and the second area may define at least part of a freely separable area between the first and second areas.
Fiber reinforced plate for articles of footwear and methods of making
A method of forming a fiber reinforced plate for an article of footwear is described. The method includes embroidering a reinforcing strand to a substrate layer with a thread according to a strand configuration. One or more substrate layers with strand configurations are arranged relative to a base plate. The one or more substrate layers are bonded to the base plate to form the fiber reinforced plate. The reinforcing strands may be formed of a heat fusible material so that adjacent segments of the strands bond to one another and/or the substrate layer. Various strand configurations of reinforcing strands embroidered to substrate layers are described. Multiple substrate layers with different strand configurations can be bonded together with a base plate to form a fiber reinforced plate with reinforcement at selected locations based on the strand configurations.
Knitted upper with two sides and an underfoot portion
The present disclosure provides a knitted component for an article of footwear. The knitted component may include a first side and a second side, where the first side and the second side form an overfoot portion. An underfoot portion may be located between the first side and the second side, where at least a portion of the first side and at least a portion of the second side of the knitted component are located on one of a medial side and a lateral side of the overfoot portion, and where a knitted course extends from the first side, through the underfoot portion, and to the second side.
