A film contains a resin and a siloxane compound having a structure A represented by Formula: [RSiO.sub.1.5].sub.n (provided that in the formula, R represents an organic group and n represents an integer of 2 or more), where at least one R among plural R's in the structure A is a group including an alkyl group and a difference in solubility parameter (SP value) between the resin and the structure A is 3.0 or less in terms of an absolute value, and surface free energy is 40 mJ/m.sup.2 or less.

A heating device includes a planar heater, a heating rotator, a pressure rotator, and one or more charge eliminators. The planar heater includes a base and a resistive heat generator. The heating rotator contacts the heater and includes a conductive layer. The pressure rotator presses the heating rotator and has an outer surface including a conductive material. The one or more charge eliminators contact the conductive layer and the outer surface of the pressure rotator.

A film contains a resin and a siloxane compound having a structure A represented by Formula: [RSiO.sub.1.5].sub.n (provided that in the formula, R represents an organic group and n represents an integer of 2 or more), where at least one R among plural R's in the structure A is a group including an alkyl group and a difference in solubility parameter (SP value) between the resin and the structure A is 3.0 or less in terms of an absolute value, and a proportion of the group including the alkyl group in the siloxane compound is 10 mol % or more and 50 mol % or less.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device, a container, a thermal fixing device, and a duct. The image forming device forms an image on a sheet with an image forming substance. The container is separate from the image forming device and stores the image forming substance to be supplied to the image forming device. The thermal fixing device applies heat and pressure to the image forming substance to fix the image on the sheet. The duct guides air to flow upward through a first region between an outer circumference of the image forming device and an outer circumference of the container and a second region adjacent to an outer circumference of the thermal fixing device.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion including a developer storage portion, a fixing apparatus, a detection portion configured to output a detection signal in accordance with a developer amount in the developer storage portion, and a control portion configured to control a target temperature of the fixing apparatus. The control portion is configured to set the target temperature at a first temperature if the developer amount is a first amount, set the target temperature at a second temperature lower than the first temperature if the developer amount is a second amount smaller than the first amount, and set the target temperature at a third temperature higher than the second temperature if the developer storage portion is supplied with the developer such that the developer amount is increased from the second amount to the first amount.
