Holographic display apparatus illuminating a hologram and a holographic image
There is herein defined optics (e.g. an array of optics) forming an optical beam to either produce a collimated or diverging/converging beam emerging from a virtual source point to illuminate a hologram. There is also described an optical beam illuminating a reflection hologram from the front and a further configuration where an optical beam combined with a holographic optical element (HOE) minor enables rear illumination of a reflection hologram.
HOLOGRAPHIC BARCODE TARGET GENERATOR
Authentication systems, devices, and methods are provided, which may use a scanner configured to capture an image of an authentication pattern in a predetermined target area; and a hologram generator configured to project a holographic target onto free space in the target area. Moreover, there may be provided a controller configured to process the image and output a determination of whether the authentication pattern meets a predetermined criterion.

Lighting device for vehicles
A lighting device (31), in particular a rear luminaire, for a vehicle (30) is provided. The lighting device (31) has a hologram (34) and a light source (32) for illuminating the hologram (34). An image, more particularly a real image (35), is thereby generated, which can also lie outside the physical boundaries of the lighting device (31).
Holographic foil supplying device as well as hot foil stamping machine
A holographic foil supplying device for a hot foil stamping machine has a reel (26) for holographic foil (20), an advancement system (24) for advancing the holographic foil (20) along a movement path (P) in a feeding direction (F) and a frame (22) supporting the reel (26) and the advancement system (24), wherein the frame (22) comprises a mount (30) for mounting the holographic foil supplying device (18) to the hot foil stamping machine. Further, a hot foil stamping machine is shown.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HOLOGRAPHIC OPTICAL ELEMENTS
A device and a method for manufacturing holographic optical elements. The device includes at least two partial light beams and one interference light beam, one deformable mirror in each case per partial light beam, a control unit, which is configured to actuate the deformable mirrors to adapt a wavefront of the partial light beam, and a holographic film. The deformable mirrors are situated so as to each reflect precisely one partial light beam and to direct the reflected partial light beam on the holographic film, and the interference light beam being directed on the holographic film to interfere with the reflected partial light beams so as to simultaneously generate at least two holographic optical elements.

PHASE IMAGING APPARATUS, PHASE IMAGING METHOD
A spatial modulator is provided on a plane conjugate to a sample plane on which a sample is to be placed. The spatial modulator spatially modulates illumination light irradiated to the sample 2 or object light that has passed through or that has been reflected by the sample. A dark-field optical system removes the non-scattered light component of the first object light affected by the spatial light modulator so as to generate second object light. An image sensor records a hologram based on the second object light. A calculation processing apparatus combines complex amplitude information based on the modulation pattern supplied to the spatial light modulator and complex amplitude information based on the hologram with respect to the second object light so as to acquire a phase distribution originating from the sample.
TRANSMISSION-TYPE HOLOGRAPHIC OPTICAL STORAGE MEDIUM AND DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR RECORDING AND READING ON TWO SIDES OF STORAGE MEDIUM
A transmission-type holographic optical storage medium includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a recording layer and a dichroic layer. The recording layer is used for recording a hologram with data information. One side of the second substrate facing the recording layer is engraved with a concave-convex structure for a servo light beam to position a recording/reading position and achieve a servo track locking function. The dichroic layer can reflect the servo light beam and transmit recording/reading light. The storage medium according to the present invention is less susceptible to influence of external environment and is more stable compared with a conventional reflection-type storage medium. In addition, recording and reading on two sides can be achieved without separately designing a recording layer on both sides of the storage medium, thereby simplifying the processing technology thereof
ADPATIVE HOLOGRAPHIC PROJECTION SYSTEM WITH USER TRACKING
A holographic display system including an electronic device, a camera and a holographic projection unit. The holographic projection unit is configured to generate a volumetric projection for viewing by a user in response to a rendering signal provided by a volumetric display application executing on the electronic device. The holographic projection unit includes a housing, a projector at least partially disposed within the housing and operative to display images based upon the rendering information, and a semi-reflective element being oriented to reflect light from the images in order to create the volumetric projection. The camera is oriented such that the user is within a field of view, the camera being operative to provide the image information to the volumetric display application for determination of a position of the user. The volumetric projection is adapted in response to the position of the user.
