Article of footwear upper incorporating a textile component with tensile elements
The present embodiments provide an upper. The upper includes a textile component. The textile component of the upper includes a textile element and a tensile element. The tensile element defines a first segment disposed on a first side of the upper. The first segment of the tensile element is configured to attach the securement device to the textile element on the first side of the upper. The tensile element further includes a second segment that is disposed proximate the lower portion of the upper on the second side. The second segment is fixed relative to the lower portion of the upper on the second side. The tensile element further includes an intermediate segment that extends continuously from the first segment, across the heel region, to the second segment.
UPPER FOR AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR WITH A LATTICE STRUCTURE
An upper for an article of footwear may have a knitted component, where the knitted component has a first edge extending from a first side of a throat area of the upper, through a heel area of the upper, and to a second side of the throat area. At least a portion of the first edge may include a lattice structure, the lattice structuring having a first lattice band and a second lattice band, the first lattice band and the second lattice band having loops that are intermeshed in at least one location, where a plurality of first openings are located between the first lattice band and the second lattice band. At least one of the lattice bands may include a yarn having a tenacity of at least 5 g/d, and/or the first and second lattice bands may be formed from separate yarns.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR INCORPORATING A KNITTED COMPONENT WITH MONOFILAMENT AREAS
In one aspect, an article of footwear may include a knitted component having monofilament strands knitted substantially throughout and a body portion extending continuously from a heel region, along a lateral side of a midfoot region, over a forefoot region, to a medial side of the midfoot region. The body portion may include a plurality of multifilament courses forming an interior surface and an exterior surface. The body portion may include a first monofilament zone in the midfoot region extending diagonally toward the forefoot region, including a plurality of first monofilament areas forming at least a portion of the interior surface of the body portion and substantially having a medial-to-lateral orientation. The body portion may include a second monofilament zone including at a plurality of second monofilament areas forming at least part of the interior surface. The multifilament courses may define a shape of the first monofilament areas and a shape of the second monofilament areas.
EMBROIDERED ARTICLE
In one aspect, an article may include a base layer and a first strand comprising a thermoplastic polymer material. The first strand may be embroidered with the base layer. The thermoplastic polymer material of the first strand may at least partially adhere to the base layer. In another aspect, the article may include a first embroidered area and a second embroidered area. The first embroidered area may have a first degree of a mechanical property, and the second embroidered area may have a second degree of the mechanical property. The first degree of the mechanical property may be different than the second degree of the mechanical property.
Footwear with Aligned Tensile Restraints
A shoe may include an upper and a sole structure. The upper may include a shell and first, second, third, and fourth sets of tensile restraints. Each of the sets may have one or more tensile restraints extending over and/or through a corresponding portion of the shell. The shell may be engaged with the sole structure and define an interior void configured to receive insertion of a user's foot. The first, second, third, and fourth sets of tensile restraints may be configured so that, upon securing of one or more structures to tighten the upper and connect the sets of tensile restraints, two linear axes of tension with anchors located in the forefoot and heel region extend diagonally across the article from one side to the other.
Knit textiles and uppers, and processes for making the same
Articles of wear having one or more textiles that include a low processing temperature polymeric composition and a high processing temperature polymeric composition, and methods of manufacturing the same are disclosed. The low processing temperature polymeric composition and the high processing temperature polymeric composition can be selectively incorporated into a textile to provide one or more structural properties and/or other advantageous properties to the article. The textile can be thermoformed to impart such structural and/or other advantageous properties to the article of wear. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR UPPER INCORPORATING A TEXTILE COMPONENT WITH TENSILE ELEMENTS
An article of footwear includes a textile component.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR WITH MULTIPLE LAYERS, RETENTION SYSTEM FOR AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
One aspect of the present disclosure provides a knitted component forming an overfoot portion and an underfoot portion of an article of footwear. The knitted component may include a first layer defining a void and a second layer second layer at least partially surrounding the first layer. The second layer may form an outer surface on the overfoot portion and the underfoot portion, and a portion of the first layer may be continuous with a portion of the second layer in an ankle region of the knitted component. An interstitial space may be formed between the first layer and the second layer, and a component may be disposed between the first layer and the second layer.
Footwear incorporating a tensile element with a deposition layer
An article of footwear may have an upper and a sole structure secured to the upper. The upper includes a base layer, a plurality of strand segments, and a deposition layer. The base layer has a first surface and an opposite second surface. The strand segments are located adjacent to the first surface and extend substantially parallel to the first surface for a distance of at least five centimeters. The deposition layer is deposited upon the first surface and the strand segments, and the deposition layer is joined with the first surface and the strand segments. The deposition layer is applied using a screen printing process. Different inks can be used during the screen printing process to form the deposition layer and an indicia layer.
