Method for detecting microstructure of functionally graded material based on digital acousto-optic holography

The present invention discloses a method for detecting a microstructure of a functionally graded material based on digital acousto-optic holography, including the following steps: excite a sample with an ultrasonic wave; record a light wave; form a single tomographic acousto-optic hologram; perform numerical reconstruction of phase information, and perform global detection. The present invention uses an acoustic-optic modulation device to modulate a laser light source of a laser of a laser device to form two light waves of different frequencies. The two light waves each constitute a Mach-Zehnder interference system to record reflection wave information and transmission wave information of an ultrasound, and are finally combined and recorded in the same hologram to form the single tomographic acousto-optic hologram.

Various embodiments set forth optical patterning systems. Each pixel of the optical patterning systems includes an amplitude-modulating cell that is in line with a phase-modulating cell. The amplitude-modulating cell includes a liquid crystal and a drive method for modulating at least the amplitude of a wavefront of light that passes through the amplitude-modulating cell. The phase-modulating cell includes a liquid crystal and a drive method for modulating at least the phase of a wavefront of light that passes through the phase-modulating cell. In some embodiments, the amplitude-modulating cell shares a common ground with the phase-modulating cell. The amplitude-modulating cell and the phase-modulating cell can be used to independently control the amplitude change and phase delay imparted by the pixel, enabling complex wavefront modulation.

Preparation system and method for polymer-dispersed liquid crystal holographic grating

A system includes a laser emitting a laser beam, a beam expander expanding the laser beam, a beam splitter prism splitting the expanded laser beam into first and second split light beams, a liquid crystal box containing polymer-dispersed liquid crystal, first and second reflectors reflecting the first and second split light beams to the liquid crystal box, respectively, and an attenuator arranged on an optical path between the beam expander and the liquid crystal box. The attenuator gradually attenuates at least one of the laser beam, the expanded laser beam, the first split light beam, or the second split light beam along a first set curve. The first split light beam and the second split light beam form interference fringes at the liquid crystal box to expose the polymer-dispersed liquid crystal to form a polymer-dispersed liquid crystal holographic grating having a diffraction efficiency decreasing along a second set curve.
