METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A SHOE UPPER
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a shoe upper, including the steps of: providing at least one stretchable portion on the shoe upper; stretching the at least one stretchable portion of the shoe upper for adapting a size of the shoe upper; and permanently attaching at least one rigid element at least partly on the stretched stretchable portion so that the stretched stretchable portion is locked.
Waterproof Garment and Method of Manufacture
A waterproof garment, such as a shoe, is formed from a first seamless circular knitted liner, which is coated with resin and cured to form a waterproof layer. The first liner is fitted within a second seamless circular knitted liner. In the case of a shoe, a sole can be attached and a reliably waterproof shoe is thereby provided which can be efficiently manufactured. In another embodiment, the combined liners are used as a waterproof lining for a shoe upper.
Footwear manufacturing with a nested flat pattern upper
An article of footwear flat pattern upper having an upper portion and a footbed portion is provided. The upper portion and the footbed portion are integrally continuous, such that the upper portion lateral side converges with the footbed lateral side. The flat pattern includes nested same-sided article of footwear with a reduced surplus portion there between. The articles of footwear includes the following continuous portions: the first medial side with a toe end, the toe end with a lateral side, the lateral side with a heel end, and the heel end with the second medial side. The first medial side and the second medial side are joined to form dimensional article of footwear.
Injected footwear with internal complex graphic
An injected footwear with internal complex graphic is a footwear apparatus that also is an easily manufacturable product. The footwear apparatus includes a sole, an upper, at least one complex graphic, and a sock liner. The sole is below the wearer's foot, while the upper covers the rest of the wearer's foot. The complex graphic integrates an aesthetically pleasing element for the footwear apparatus. The sock liner is used as an intermediate between the wearer's foot and the rest of the footwear apparatus. The complex graphic is internalized in between the sock liner and the upper. The upper and the sole are specifically made of the injectable molding material. A proximal portion of the sock liner is attached to the complex graphic, while the injectable molding material is bonded to a surrounding portion of the sock liner.
Last System For Articles With Braided Components
A last system and a method of making the last system are disclosed. The last system includes a last member and an exterior layer. The exterior layer becomes deformable when heated above a characteristic temperature. The method can include forming a braided footwear component on the last system. The exterior layer may be joined with the braided footwear component by heating the last system above the characteristic temperature.
SOLE SYSTEM FOR AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR INCORPORATING A KNITTED COMPONENT
An article of footwear includes an upper comprising a knitted component forming a one-piece integrally knit element that forms a lower portion of the upper and extends from the lower portion toward a collar. The lower portion of the upper is configured to extend under a wearer's foot. The article of footwear includes an insert member having a bottom side with a plurality of protuberances that extend away, and the lower portion of the upper is vacuum molded around at least some portions of the protuberances of the insert member. The article of footwear may also include a sole assembly secured to the bottom side of the lower portion of the upper.
Footwear including textile element
An article of footwear includes a sole and an upper at least partially formed of a textile element. The textile element includes a yarn matrix having a plurality of interlocked strands oriented in predetermined directions. A structural element may be captured within the matrix at selected locations. In operation, the matrix is stitched onto a temporary substrate. The substrate is removed and the article coupled to a sole structure to form the article of footwear.
Upper for an article of footwear with a cuff
In one aspect, an upper for an article of footwear may include a knit element, a collar area configured to form an ankle opening, and a cuff in the collar area. The cuff may be at least partially formed by the knit element and may include a ribbed knit structure of the knit element. In another aspect, an upper for an article of footwear may include a knit element with a first area, the first area including a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The first side may be formed of at least 30% more material than the second side such that the first area is configured to curve convexly away from the first side.
Knitted member for an article of footwear
A warp knit element for an article of footwear includes a plurality of cell structures that extend from a sole structure to a lacing region of an upper.
