In one example, a head-mounted display device includes a plurality of sensors and a display system for presenting holographic objects. A mixed reality safety program is configured to receive a holographic object and associated content provider ID from a source. If the trust level is less than a threshold, the object is displayed according to a first set of safety rules that provide a protective level of display restrictions.
