Systems, articles, and methods for integrating holographic optical elements with eyeglass lenses
Systems, articles, and methods that integrate photopolymer film with eyeglass lenses are described. One or more hologram(s) may be recorded into/onto the photopolymer film to enable the lens to be used as a transparent holographic combiner in a wearable heads-up display employing an image source, such as a microdisplay or a scanning laser projector. The methods of integrating photopolymer film with eyeglass lenses include: positioning photopolymer film in a lens mold and casting the lens around the photopolymer film; sandwiching photopolymer film in between two portions of a lens; applying photopolymer film to a concave surface of a lens; and/or affixing a planar carrier (with photopolymer film thereon) to two points across a length of a concave surface of a lens. Respective lenses manufactured/adapted by each of these processes are also described.

Holographic optical element and method for producing the same
The present invention provides a means for suppressing an occurrence of a ghost by enhancing diffraction efficiency of a holographic optical element having a volume hologram recording layer. The present invention is a holographic optical element including: a volume hologram recording layer containing a photopolymer; and at least one adjacent layer which is in contact with the volume hologram recording layer and contains a resin, wherein a diffraction grating is formed so as to extend from the volume hologram recording layer to the adjacent layer.

NB CONTROLLER AND FORM FACTORS
A system includes a plurality of optical identifiers and a reader for the optical identifiers. Each optical identifier has an optical substrate and a volume hologram (e.g., with unique data, such as a code page) in the optical substrate. The reader for the optical identifiers includes a laser, and a camera. The laser is configured to direct laser light into a selected one of the optical identifiers that has been placed into the reader to produce an image of the associated volume holograms at the camera. The camera is configured to capture the image. The captured image may be stored in a digital format by the system.
SHAPED BODY HAVING A VOLUME HOLOGRAM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF
The present invention concerns a method for the production of a moulded body containing at least one volume hologram by means of injection moulding, comprising the following method steps: provision of a hologram film composite having two sides comprising at least one photopolymer layer with at least one volume hologram, a shear protective layer and a substrate layer, and optionally, further composite film layers, insertion of the hologram film composite into a metallic injection mould, such that one side of the hologram film composite is at least partially in contact with the injection mould wall, introduction of a molten thermoplastic polymer for the production of the moulded body, wherein at least the outermost layer of the hologram film composite on the side of the hologram film composite coming into contact with the molten polymer contains essentially the same polymer raw materials as the molten thermoplastic polymer, and extrusion coating of the hologram film composite with the molten thermoplastic polymer, and solidification of the molten thermoplastic polymer.
The invention also concerns a moulded body produced in this manner and advantageous applications of this moulded body.

Volume Phase Holographic Grating
A volume phase holographic grating includes two cover shields and a holographic optical member. The holographic optical member is created by taking gel and having two lasers interfere with each other on the gel such that a pattern is created on the gel. The optical member placed between the two cover shields such that the optical member is protected.
