Electronic timepiece
An electronic timepiece has a plurality of modes and includes a plurality of indicating hands including a first indicating hand as a mode hand that indicates each mode, an operation section that allows mode switching operation that instructs switching among the modes, and a display control section that moves the plurality of indicating hands to be moved on the basis of the mode switching operation in such a way that periods for which the plurality of indicating hands move in high-speed advance action do not overlap with one another. The display control section first moves the first indicating hand among the plurality of indicating hands.
Physical watch hands for a computerized watch
A computerized watch is described that includes a cover that forms an outer surface of the computerized watch, a screen configured to output graphical information for display, a set of physical watch hands positioned between the cover and the screen and configured to present a time of day. One or more computer processors and a memory comprising instructions. The instructions, when executed, cause the one or more computer processors to responsive to determining that the computerized watch is operating in a time display mode, manipulate the set of physical watch hands such that the set of physical watch hands present the time of day by obscuring a portion of a display region of the screen, and responsive to determining that the computerized watch is not operating in the time display mode, manipulate the set of physical watch hands such that the set of physical hands do not obscure the screen.

Method of manufacturing a clock or watch component
A method of manufacturing a clock or watch component (19; 29) includes (i) providing (E11; E21) a wafer (11; 21) having a single slice (12; 22) including a material of the component, notably silicon, diamond, quartz, sapphire or ceramic, optionally first coating the lower surface of the slice (22) with a lower layer (24), (iii) etching (E12 to E14; E22 to E24) the slice (12; 22) starting from its upper surface to form at least one clock or watch component, (iv) revealing (E15; E25) at least one clock or watch component (19; 29), by removing a layer that served as a mask for etching (E15; E25) and (y) optionally releasing (E26) the slice and the at least one etched clock or watch component by removing the lower layer (24).
DISPLAY APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A method of manufacturing a display apparatus includes providing a substrate, forming a display unit defining an opening portion in a display region over the substrate, forming a thin film encapsulation layer to seal the display unit, forming a touch electrode over the thin film encapsulation layer, forming a touch insulating film covering the touch electrode such that the thin film encapsulation layer and the touch insulating film are sequentially stacked and formed over the substrate in the opening portion, forming a touch contact hole by removing a portion of the touch insulating film to expose a portion of the touch electrode, and removing a portion of the touch insulating film and a portion of the thin film encapsulation layer formed in the opening portion to expose a portion of the substrate during the forming of the touch contact hole.
WATCH HAND
A pointer hand for a watchmaking part including a body and a cannon configured to be driven onto a cylindrical arbor, the cannon having an internal diameter that is greater than the diameter of the cylindrical arbor. The cannon includes a flat on its internal diameter that is configured to cooperate with the cylindrical arbor, to elastically deform the cannon on both sides of the flat to fix the hand onto the cylindrical arbor.
