The present invention provides a wire tightening device which is installed in shoes or the like and structured so that a tightening operation for tightening a wire can be performed with ease, and the position of a part winding the wire is lifted inside a housing. The present invention comprises: a winding wheel which is positioned in the inner space of the housing and has a vertical through hole formed in the center; and an ascending/descending member that is positioned in the through hole of the winding wheel and coupled to the winding wheel through ratchet coupling, and is provided with engagement teeth which are formed in the lower portion and interlock with locking teeth of the housing.

A closure mechanism is moveable between unlocked and locked positions and includes a locking element coupled to the first portion of the upper and a non-deflecting projection coupled to the second portion of the upper. The locking element is configured to receive the non-deflecting projection and comprises one or more deflecting abs. The projection is moveable in a first direction relative to the locking element to engage with the locking element, thereby moving the closure mechanism to the locked position and moving the upper to the closed configuration. The projection is moveable in the first direction relative to the locking element to disengage with the locking element, thereby moving the closure mechanism to the unlocked position and allowing the upper to return to the open configuration.

A device and method to facilitate the opening and closing and closing of a ski boot. The devices includes a buckle attachment section, a ski pole cooperation section and a securing member. The buckle attachment section has a cavity which is dimensioned to receive a free end of the buckle therein to prevent unwanted movement of the buckle attachment section relative to the buckle. The ski pole cooperation section has a ski pole receiving opening. The ski pole receiving opening extends through the ski pole cooperation section and is dimensioned to receive an end of a ski pole therein. The securing member secures the device to the buckle of the ski boot. The device allows the buckles of the ski boot to be latched and unlatched with minimal twisting of the skier's body.

A length-adjustable shoe, of which a length between a front end and a rear end thereof is adjustable, includes an outsole, an upper, a stretch fabric, and a control device. The upper includes a body portion and a heel portion which are mutually separated, wherein the body portion is directly attached on the outsole, and the stretch fabric connects a bottom edge of the heel portion and the outsole. The control device connects the body portion and the heel portion, wherein the control device moves the heel portion relative to the body portion as a whole in an axial direction from the front end to the rear end, which changes the length of the shoe.
