COMPRESSIBLE SEAL FOR ROTATABLE AND TRANSLATABLE INPUT MECHANISMS
20180239306 · 2018-08-23 ·

An electronic device has a housing and a rotatable and translatable input mechanism. The housing has an aperture and the rotatable and translatable input mechanism has a shaft positioned at least partially within the aperture and a manipulation structure coupled to the shaft. The manipulation structure may be manipulated to rotationally and translationally move the shaft to provide rotational and translational input to the electronic device. A compressible seal is positioned in a gap between the housing and the rotatable and translatable input mechanism. The compressible seal may resist and/or prevent passage of contaminants into the aperture and/or obscure one or more internal components. The compressible seal may be configured to collapse or bend when the rotatable and translatable member translates.

Push-in watch crown mechanisms and methods are disclosed. The presently disclosed push-in watch crown mechanisms include a locking mechanism for latching the watch crown inside the watch body such that the top of the watch crown is substantially flush to the edge of the watch body. Further, the push-in watch crown mechanisms include a release mechanism for unlatching the watch crown so that it is released outside of the watch body and accessible for use. Additionally, methods of using push-in watch crown mechanisms are provided.

Control system for a timepiece

A control system for a rotating element of a timepiece including a control element for actuating the rotating element and a transmission device between the control element and the rotating element. In the control system a gearing device includes a hybrid gearing device including a first element, which is movable around a first rotation axis and including a drive runner made from elastomeric material, and a second element, which is movable around a second rotation axis and including a rolling tooth system. The drive runner cooperates with the rolling tooth system by friction.

Provided is a timepiece movement that can improve the freedom of design in the layout of a small seconds hand. The timepiece movement has a barrel complete; a wheel train including multiple wheels that turn in conjunction with the barrel complete; an escape wheel that turns in conjunction with the barrel complete; and a small seconds wheel that turns in conjunction with the escape wheel and has a small seconds hand attached thereto. The escape wheel includes a first pinion that mates with a wheel of the wheel train, and a second pinion that mates with the toothed part of the small seconds wheel.

A timepiece with a tourbillon unit, including a base plate, cage placed rotatably on the base plate and being connected to a fourth pinion, a balance placed on the cage, and an escape wheel that is placed on the cage and that is in work connection with the balance, a balance stop device being capable to be brought into engagement with the balance, wherein it further includes a zero-setting device for the angular orientation of the cage.

TIMEPIECE MECHANISM FOR BIDIRECTIONAL CORRECTION OF A PLURALITY OF DISPLAYS
20180157212 · 2018-06-07 · ·

A bidirectional correction mechanism for correcting the position of a first and of a second gear train, via a setting device driving a corrector pinion, including a correction lever pivoting on an arbor of the corrector pinion, which carries, meshing with the corrector pinion, a first wheel set for driving the first gear train, and a second wheel set for driving the second gear train. This mechanism includes an elastic element which, in the absence of action on the setting device, returns the correction lever to a neutral position wherein the wheel sets are uncoupled from the first and second wheel trains, and either a friction connection between the correction lever and the arbor, or a friction connection between the elastic element on the one hand, and the first wheel set and the second wheel set on the other hand.
