In various implementations, a cover for a smartwatch is provided that includes a housing and a flexible member (e.g., a gasket). The cover may increase user satisfaction with the smartwatch by increasing the aesthetics of the watch for the user, providing flexibility in appearance, and/or inhibiting damage to the watch itself. The gasket may secure the smartwatch in the cover, inhibit damage to the outer housing of the cover by an inner surface of the cover, and/or inhibit interference from the cover with operations of the smartwatch.

A stretchable watch band can include braided strands that provide a comfortable fit around the wrist of the user. The watch band can stretch and conform to the user based on the elasticity within each strand and based on the ability of the strands to move relative to each other. End sections of the watch band can include attachment elements that securely connect the watch band to a housing of the watch. The end sections can be configured to releasable connect to the housing in a manner that is reliable and easy for a user. Additionally, the watch band can provide a smooth transition from the size and/or shape of the housing to a size and/or shape of a continuous section of the watch band. Additionally, the watch band can conceal portions thereof other than the braided strands when connected to the housing of the watch.

A method for structuring a decorative or technical pattern in the thickness of an object made of an at least partially transparent amorphous, semi-crystalline or crystalline material, wherein the object is made of an at least partially transparent material including a top surface and a bottom surface which extends away from the top surface. The top or bottom surfaces is provided with a mask defining an opening whose outline corresponds to the profile of the pattern to be structured, the mask covering the top or bottom surface at the positions which are not to be structured.
