Tidal clock

A tidal clock includes a clock face, a clock mechanism, a tidal display mechanism, a tidal drive arrangement and one or more symbolic display members. The tidal display mechanism includes a background and a plurality of laminar members overlying the background. Each laminar member includes a display representing sea and having an upper edge configured to represent a sea level. The laminar members are independently movable between respective lower and upper positions to represent rise and fall of the sea level. The symbolic display members are each mounted on a respective support. Each support is engaged with the background, permitting movement between lower and upper positions, further engaging a respective laminar member and arranged so that the support and display mounted thereon is urged to move between lower and upper positions by the corresponding movement of the laminar member.

Apparatus for creating a multi-purpose composite image

Apparatus for telling time by aligning a plurality of partial images from time to time to form a composite image, including a motor having two or more concentric rotating output shafts rotating at different speeds. Each of the partial images is supported by one of the shafts. As a function of the relative rates of rotation of the shafts, all of the partial images become aligned from time to identifiable time to form the composite image. Each and every rotating disc in these examples is attached to a power driven shaft. This is a common concentric shaft with three differing powered rotations, one at sixty rotations per hour, another at two rotations per twenty-four hours, and the remaining one at 3600 rotations per hour. These rotating discs are identified respectively as the minute disc, the hour disc, and the secondhand disc and are attached to their respective individual shafts.

DISPLAY MODULE INCLUDING ELEMENTS MOVABLE AROUND DEFORMABLE LINKS, ASSOCIATED DISPLAY SYSTEM AND TIMEPIECE INCLUDING SUCH A DISPLAY SYSTEM

The present invention relates to a display module including a fixed frame and at least two substantially rigid display organs. The display organs each include a portion displaying a pattern, said display portions being complementary to one another such that it forms said pattern in at least one relative position of said display organs. Furthermore, at least one of the display organs is secured and movable relative to the frame via a deformable link at least between a first resting position, in which the display portions are separate from one another, and a display position, in which said display portions are counter-affixed to one another to form and display said pattern. Lastly, said display organ(s) movable relative to the frame cooperate with an actuating push-piece arranged to transmit a movement force of this display organ by elastic deformation around its deformable link(s) from said resting position toward said display position.

The present application provides a timer, including a base, a driving shaft, and an indicator arm. The driving shaft is rotatably mounted on the base and selectably rotates relative to the base. The indicator arm includes a second support and a plurality of hour blocks. The second support is rotatably connected to the driving shaft. The hour blocks each include a second block body and a second gear. The second block body is rotatably connected to the second support. The second gear is fixedly connected to the second block body. Second protrusion is correspondingly arranged on a rotation path of the second gear around the driving shaft. The second gear has second tooth grooves. The second protrusion selectably extends into the second tooth grooves to drive the second gear to rotate relative to the second support so as to drive the hour blocks to rotate relative to the second support.

Timepiece comprising an external element provided with a zirconia portion

Provided is a timepiece including, in addition to a crystal, the following external elements: a back (2), a middle part (1), a dial (3), and two bracelet strands (30), at least one of these external elements includes a body formed of a first portion made of a first opaque material and of a second portion made of a second partially transparent or translucent material. The first material being integral with the second material and the timepiece also includes at least one light source (10) producing light which passes through the second portion made of a partially transparent or translucent ceramic material comprising zirconia.
