A display mechanism for a watch and a watch including the display mechanism, which includes a display for displaying information, a first and second mobile elements and a support, so that when the first mobile element moves with a first primary speed, the second mobile element moves into a first position so as to cover the display and when the first mobile element moves with a first secondary speed, the second mobile element moves into a second position so as to expose the display. Thus, the display can be exposed which allows to maximize the display surface when information is present on the display.

A method for decorating a timepiece component, particularly a skeleton type watch dial. The component includes at least two different visual appearances, each visual appearance being the unique combination of a surface finish and of a colour. The decoration has the following steps: i) providing a component blank with a first unfinished surface (10a); ii) creating on said first unfinished surface a first termination possessing a first surface finish; iii) applying to the first termination one or more layers of atoms so as to give the first termination a first colour; iv) creating a second termination having at least one breaking of a corner on the blank in order to form at least one bevel or at least one chamfer having a second unfinished surface; v) creating on said second unfinished surface a second termination conferring a second surface finish, and vi) using electroplating, PVD or ALD, to deposit a metallic layer, preferably a layer of rhodium or of gold, on the second termination so as to give the second termination a second colour.

A timepiece includes a movement having a timepiece component, a first hand that has a first length and that is driven by the movement, a second hand that has a second length less than the first length and that is driven by the movement, a support plate provided on the movement, and a dial including a support plate provided on the movement and a sub-dial ring that displays an indicator related to the second hand. The support plate has a support plate ring member that is provided with a support plate opening and a support member that is coupled to the support plate inner circumference of the support plate ring member. The timepiece component is disposed below the support plate opening. The sub-dial ring is disposed on the support member. A cut-out portion is provided at an overlapping position that is above the timepiece component and that overlaps the timepiece component.

A timepiece includes a movement having a timepiece component, a first hand that has a first length and that is driven by the movement, a second hand that has a second length less than the first length and that is driven by the movement, a support plate provided on the movement, and a dial including a support plate provided on the movement and a sub-dial ring that displays an indicator related to the second hand. The support plate has a support plate ring member that is provided with a support plate opening and a support member that is coupled to the support plate inner circumference of the support plate ring member. The timepiece component is disposed below the support plate opening. The sub-dial ring is disposed on the support member. A cut-out portion is provided at an overlapping position that is above the timepiece component and that overlaps the timepiece component.

A watch body and a strap are included. The watch body includes a case body having a cylindrical shape, a movement disposed inside the case body, a cover member covering one opening of the case body, and a case back covering the other opening of the case body and including a transmissive region through which the movement can be visually recognized from the outside and the movement can be visually recognized through the cover member. The strap is attached to the watch body and includes a base facing the case back of the watch body and a strap body coupled to the base. The base includes a decoration at a position overlapping at least a part of the transmissive region, and the decoration can be visually recognized through the cover member.

A watch body and a strap are included. A timepiece component includes a base material including silicon as a main component, and a light reflecting layer formed on the base material and including a first silicon oxide layer, a silicon layer, and a second silicon oxide layer stacked in this order, when the light reflecting layer is viewed in plan view, the light reflecting layer includes a first region and a second region, and at least one of the thicknesses of the first silicon oxide layer in the first region and the second region and the thicknesses of the second silicon oxide layer in the first region and the second region is set such that the thicknesses are different from each other.

A timepiece component includes a base material including silicon as a main component, and a light reflecting layer formed on the base material and including a first silicon oxide layer, a silicon layer, and a second silicon oxide layer stacked in this order, when the light reflecting layer is viewed in plan view, the light reflecting layer includes a first region and a second region, and at least one of the thicknesses of the first silicon oxide layer in the first region and the second region and the thicknesses of the second silicon oxide layer in the first region and the second region is set such that the thicknesses are different from each other.
