PHYSICAL WATCH HANDS FOR A COMPUTERIZED WATCH
A computerized watch is described that includes a cover that forms an outer surface of the computerized watch, a screen configured to output graphical information for display, a set of physical watch hands positioned between the cover and the screen and configured to present a time of day. One or more computer processors and a memory comprising instructions. The instructions, when executed, cause the one or more computer processors to responsive to determining that the computerized watch is operating in a time display mode, manipulate the set of physical watch hands such that the set of physical watch hands present the time of day by obscuring a portion of a display region of the screen, and responsive to determining that the computerized watch is not operating in the time display mode, manipulate the set of physical watch hands such that the set of physical hands do not obscure the screen.
SMART WATCH AND METHOD OF OPERATING
Disclosed is a smart watch which may comprise: a display unit including a display panel displaying an image and a panel frame supporting the display panel; a rotating member including a rotating plate provided with recesses on an outer peripheral surface of the rotating plate, a rotating shaft having one end connected to a center of the rotating plate to rotate the rotating plate, and a driving motor coupled with the other end of the rotating shaft; a control unit to control the display unit and the rotating member; and a support frame to support the display unit and accommodate the rotating member and the control unit.
Systems and Methods for Operating an Energy-Efficient Display
Described systems and methods allow minimizing energy use and increasing battery life of a wearable device such as a smartwatch, by optimizing the way an image displayed to the user is updated in response to an event. In some embodiments, an image of each display object (e.g., clock hand, text, weather symbol, fitness icon) is individually stored in an image cache, such as a processor register or a separate section of memory. A new, updated on-screen image is computed dynamically, by combining cached images of the respective display objects. When the appearance of a current display object must change in response to the event, an updated image of the respective object is cached for future use.
Wearable electronic device with hand synchronization
A wearable electronic device having an analog display and a digital display. The device may include a receiver for receiving, from a remote source, current time information data representative of a current time; a controller, operatively coupled to the receiver, wherein the controller processes the current time information data received from the remote source and provides for the current time information data to be displayed by the at least one digital indicator on the digital display as the current time; and a an analog time indicator rotating arrangement for causing the rotation of the at least one analog time indicator until the at least one analog time indicator is aligned with the at least one digital indicator; whereby the alignment of the at least one analog time indicator with the at least one digital indicator indicates that the at least one analog time indicator is synchronized with the correct time information.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device includes a display module having a hole and including a plurality of first light sources disposed along a perimeter of one side of the display module and a plurality of second light sources which are positioned opposite the plurality of first light sources and are disposed along a perimeter of the other side of the display module, a shaft rotatably inserted into the hole of the display module, a movement which is positioned in the rear of the display module, is connected to one end of the shaft, and provides a rotational force for the shaft, a window which is separated from the display module and is positioned in front of the display module, and a hand which is positioned between the display module and the window and is fixed to the other end of the shaft.
WATCH TYPE MOBILE TERMINAL AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF
A watch type mobile terminal and controlling method thereof are disclosed, by which a position of an hour hand and a position of a minute hand can be automatically changed to prevent an object contained in an application running screen from being blocked. A watch type mobile terminal in which time is indicated by at least one hand, the mobile terminal comprising: a display; and a controller configured to: cause the display to display a face screen; cause the at least one hand to point to a current time while the face screen is displayed; cause the display to display an execution screen of an application when the application is executed; and cause the at least one hand to move from a first position to a second position, deviating from the current time, to not block an area of the execution screen at which an object is displayed.
ANALOGUE SMART WATCH AND DISPLAY METHOD THEREOF
A pointer-type smart watch and a display method thereof are provided. The pointer-type smart watch includes: a cover, including a touch sensing unit; a case, collectively forming an inner cavity with the cover, and hour and minute hands being rotatable inside the inner cavity; a movement layer, provided at the bottom of the case, connected to the hour and minute hands with a rotation axis to provide power for rotation; a transparent display element, provided in the inner cavity and above the movement layer, and including an axis hole through which the rotation axis passes; a control module, configured to control operating states of the transparent display element; and a transparent solar element, provided in the inner cavity and above the movement layer, and coupled to a battery of the pointer-type smart watch.
Display device and electronic watch including the same
A display device includes a substrate having a through-hole. The display device also includes a display unit formed on the substrate and surrounding the through-hole, and the display unit is configured to display an image and includes pixels.
Digital color clock
A digital color clock employs six Color Outputs to represent the time of day. A first Color Output represents a tens digit of hours, a second Color Output represents a ones digit of hours, a third Color Output represents a tens digit in minutes, a fourth Color Output represents a ones digit in minutes, a fifth Color Output represents a tens digit in seconds, and a sixth Color Output represents a ones digit in seconds. The digital color clock can optionally display the date, temperature, humidity, and/or barometric pressure using Color Outputs. Front and back light sensors can be included for measuring brightness of ambient light to enable adjustment of Color Outputs in response to changes in brightness of ambient light. In one embodiment, the Color Outputs are interspersed among other unchangeable Color Outputs of a display. The display can be a component of a stationary or hand-held computing device.
