Belt ratcheting device with hidden blade III
11839268 · 2023-12-12 ·

The Belt Ratcheting Device with Hidden Blade-III (HB-III) facilitates unidirectional belt fastening and fast release. The HB-III includes a turning gate rotatably installed diagonally in a channel. The turning gate has a hidden sharp blade front which operates on the lower belt surface avoiding visible scratches. The turning gate is connected to a lever by a spring. The HB-III has two states: “active” and “inactive”. In the active state the device works as a belt ratchet i.e. allowing the belt to be pulled forwards but restricting any belt motion backwards. In the inactive state the ratcheting is disabled and the belt is released. The HB-III is controlled by the lever's position. After fastening, the belt remains fastened until the HB-III is switched manually into inactive state by moving the lever. The blade's smooth side and channel's smooth surfaces minimize belt wear.

CYLINDER-RETAINING APPARATUS FOR A BREATHING APPARATUS

Disclosed is a cylinder-retaining apparatus for a breathing apparatus comprising first and second fixing point and a strap apparatus secured to the first fixing point and the second fixing point. The strap apparatus forms a main strap loop for extending around and securing one or more cylinders. The cylinder-retaining apparatus is configurable in: i) an expanded configuration in which the main strap loop provides a first effective length for securing a first number of cylinders; and ii) a contracted configuration in which a portion of a strap of the strap apparatus is folded to form a secondary strap loop and the secondary strap loop is secured to a third fixing point such that the main strap loop forms a second effective length which is shorter than the first effective length and for securing a second number of cylinders less than the first number of cylinders.

Strap tie-down

An improved strap tie-down device that includes two primary components, namely a base frame and a lever arm, and further includes a cam and a locking mechanism.

Integrated closure device components and methods

A lace tensioning device includes a housing component having an interior region, a first aperture, and a second aperture, and a spool component that is rotatably positionable within the interior region of the housing component. The spool component has a central cylindrical member and a lumen that extends through the central cylindrical portion. The spool component is rotatable within the interior region of the housing component to align one end of the lumen with the first aperture and to align an opposite end of the lumen with the second aperture to enable a lace to be inserted through the first aperture, the lumen, and the second aperture so that opposing ends of the lace are positioned exterior to the housing component. A knot may then be tied in the lace and the lace retracted to couple the lace with the housing component and spool component.

Compact Ratcheting Buckle Mechanism
20210045499 · 2021-02-18 ·

A compact ratcheting buckle mechanism which enables significant mechanical advantage can be used in a multitude of devices. The compact ratcheting buckle mechanism comprises a base plate which holds a ratchet tab and release tab, which are spring-loaded and held in place by pivot pins which pass through slots in the base plate. The ratchet and release tabs are then able to articulate. The ratchet tab teeth engage with a compatible ratchet ladder strap, which passes through the compact ratcheting buckle mechanism linearly when the ratchet tab is articulated. The release tab holds applied tension in the compact ratcheting buckle mechanism, and is substantially covered by the ratchet tab to ensure for a compact design and low chance of accidental release. The compact ratcheting buckle mechanism can be released through a defined pincer motion, disengaging both the ratchet tab and release tab teeth from the compatible ratchet ladder strap.

Portable ratchet footwear tightening system

Described is a portable footwear tightener lace replacement (mechanism) for use with an ice skate, sports shoe, work boot, sneaker or other footwear that has eyelets or lace hooks and normally uses laces for tightening. The portable footwear tightener includes an inside strap having a tooth or ribbed top side, an inside strap footwear attachment structure, an outside strap having a ratchet or clasp/buckle mechanism, an outside strap footwear attachment structure. Each of the inside strap and the outside strap is attached to the footwear through the eyelets, hooks or hoops by the inside strap footwear attachment structure and the outside footwear attachment structure, respectively, and the ribbed or toothed portion of the inside strap is connectable to ratchet or clasp/buckle mechanism of the outside strap into a snug arrangement.

TOURNIQUET CLIP

A clip adapted for use with an elongate strap for forming a tourniquet including first and second parts adapted to be connected to the strap, the first and second parts adapted to be releasably connected together to form a closed loop. The second part is adapted to movable along the strap and has an open passageway through which the strap passes. Integrally formed first and second elongate walls define at least part of the passageway and first and second grip portions for gripping the strap. The second wall is mounted for rotation about a transverse axis so as to move the grip portion of the second wall toward or away from the first grip portion.

LEVER RELEASE MID-BELT ADJUSTER

A belt adjuster configured to secure a belt of a child car seat. The belt is squeezed and/or compressed between a belt bar and a frame to prevent movement of the belt. The belt adjuster includes a trigger configured to function as a lever. In one example, the lever extends from a belt bar to the trigger, such that force applied to the trigger actuates the belt bar. The lever is configured to multiply a force applied to the trigger to reduce the force needed to release the belt. In one embodiment, a force vector applied to the trigger is in a parallel and opposite direction from a force vector of the belt bar. In another embodiment, a force vector applied to the trigger is in a parallel and/or transverse direction from a force vector of the belt bar.

GUARD
