TURBO PCV VALVE

A PCV valve that regulates the flow of gases to a turbocharger. A spring biased plunger member is used to restrict and meter the flow of gases through the PCV valve. The plunger member can include an axially extending through opening extending through the length of the plunger member to allow back flow of gases to be routed to the turbocharger. The through opening can be selectively opened and closed by a valve module contained in the plunger member.

A valve includes an inlet, an outlet, and a biasing element. The biasing element includes a first spring element, a second spring element, and a valve element. The second spring element includes at least one bimetallic disk including a first and second material. The first material includes a first coefficient of linear thermal expansion, and the second material includes a second coefficient of linear thermal expansion different than the first coefficient of linear thermal expansion. The valve element disposed on an end of the first spring element.

Hydraulic pump and respective multifunction valve

A hydraulic pump is described, comprising at least one inlet duct for a fluid, at least one outlet duct for the fluid and at least one pumping unit interposed between the inlet and outlet ducts. At least one multifunction valve is interposed between the inlet duct, upstream of the pumping unit, and the outlet duct, downstream of the pumping unit, which valve is configured to divert the flow of fluid from the inlet duct to the outlet duct without the fluid flowing into the pumping unit. The multifunction valve comprises a valve body that defines an inner bypass channel in which a shutter element is axially movable, an actuator member operatively associated with the shutter element and configured to move it from a closing position to an opening position of the bypass channel, and an elastic contrast element operatively associated with the shutter element and configured to keep it in the first closing position of the bypass channel when such shutter element is not actuated by the actuator member. The actuator member consists of a bias spring manufactured with a shape memory alloy, configured to move the shutter element from the first closing position to the second opening position of the bypass channel when a predefined temperature value is reached.

Dual-adjustment flow limiting device

A dual-adjustment flow limiting device includes an outer shell, an inner shell, a flow limiting member, and an adjustment mechanism. The outer shell defines a plurality of external ports. The inner shell defines a flow chamber and a plurality of internal ports communicating with the flow chamber and is fitted into the outer shell such that a communicating area is formed between the internal and external ports. The flow limiting member is disposed in the flow chamber of the inner shell and can be deformed in response to the pressure of a water flow entering the flow chamber to partially block the internal ports, so that the water flow entering the flow chamber can be restricted. The adjustment mechanism is provided at the outer and inner shells to adjust the communicating area, so that the water flow can be further restricted.

Devices and systems which control the flow of fluid through a conduit are described herein. One flow control device that controls the flow of fluid through a conduit, includes a body having an axis and defining a passage that allows fluid to flow from an upstream position to a downstream position, the valve body having a converging portion in the upstream position with an inner surface that curves gradually inward, but having an annular rim formed by a portion that extends outward from the inward curving shape, and a throat between the converging and diverging portions; and, a flow regulator supported within the body for controlling the flow of fluid through the conduit, the flow regulator having an annular seating surface configured to contact the annular rim of the body.

Dialysis machine and constant flow regulator

A dialysis machine, in particular for hemodialysis and/or hemofiltration, having a dialyzate system and having a water inlet via which the dialyzate system can be connected to an external water supply. The dialysis machine includes a constant flow regulator that is arranged between the water connection and the dialyzate system.

FLOW-RATE ADJUSTABLE VALVE

The present invention is a flow-rate adjustable valve for adjusting a flow rate of liquid flowing through a flow path. The flow-rate adjustable valve includes: a main valve body; a back pressure chamber; an inlet hole; an outlet hole; a pilot valve body for opening and closing an end of the outlet hole on a side of the back pressure chamber; an elongated member holding the pilot valve body; and a lifter rotatable and also movable in the axial direction of the elongated member by the rotation of the rotatable member. The lifter and the elongated member are integrally movable in the axial direction. The elongated member is connected to the lifter under a condition in which the elongated member is biased to the lifter in a one-way direction of the axial direction by a biasing-connecting member.

The flow restrictor cartridge receives the fluid flow at a first fluid flow rate and provides the fluid flow as a second fluid flow rate lower than the first fluid flow rate. The flow restrictor cartridge includes a receiver and a compact flow restrictor. The compact flow restrictor is received by the receiver. The compact flow restrictor is configured to facilitate the reduction from the first fluid flow rate to the second fluid flow rate.

A device having pressure independent control and balancing valves, suitable for use in a hydronic system, comprises a seat, a plug having an upstream surface and a downstream surface, and a piston, wherein the seat, plug and piston are aligned coaxially, a controller determines the size of a first flow restriction between the upstream surface of the plug and the seat, the piston is operable to move in response to differential pressure across the first restriction and a predetermined force, the position of the piston relative to the downstream surface of the plug determining the size of a second flow restriction thereby in use maintaining a substantially constant differential pressure across the first restriction.
