Belt Buckle, Belt Buckle System and Aircraft Safety Belt
The present invention relates to a belt buckle (10) for a length-adjustable aircraft safety belt, wherein the belt buckle (10) comprises: a main body (12) which defines a receiving space (20); a holder (14) for attaching a belt strap (16) of an aircraft safety belt; and a locking device (18) for latching a buckle tongue on the main body (12) for closing the aircraft safety belt,
wherein the main body (12) comprises a base plate (40) and side cheeks (42) projecting therefrom at two opposite sides, wherein the base plate (40) forms a substantially plane base surface (44), and
wherein the holder (14) is mounted on the side cheeks (42) in a movable manner and a clamping edge (38) of the base plate (40) facing the holder (14) projects from the base surface (44) in the direction of the holder (14), so that the holder (14) is drawn to the clamping edge (38) when a tensile load is applied to the belt strap (16) and the belt strap (16) is clamped between the clamping edge (38) and the holder (14), so that a length change of the aircraft safety belt is blocked.
FASTENER, FASTENER MONITORING SYSTEM, AND CHILD CARRIER
This application relates to a fastener, a fastener monitoring system, and a child carrier. The fastener includes a male buckle, a female buckle, and a control circuit. The fastener has a locked state in which the male buckle is snap-fitted to the female buckle and an unlocked state in which the male buckle is separated from the female buckle. The control circuit is disposed on the male buckle and/or the female buckle. The control circuit includes a wireless communication module. In response to the fastener being in the locked state, the control circuit controls the wireless communication module to transmit a wireless signal.
BUCKLE ASSEMBLY
A buckle assembly includes a first frame member defining a first slot, which includes a first open end positioned at a first side of the first frame member and which includes a first closed end positioned spaced apart from a second side of the first frame member; a second frame member defining a second slot, which includes a second open end positioned at a second side of the second frame member and a second closed end positioned spaced apart from a first side of the second frame member, wherein one of the first or second frame members has a pivot member upon which the first and second frame members are rotatable relative to one another; and a third frame member defining at least two slots which extend through the third frame member and is configured to position within a recess defined within the second frame member.
HARNESS SYSTEM WITH A BUCKLE RESTRAINING FUNCTION
A harness system includes an upper buckle, an upper strap and a restraining assembly including an anti-sliding structure and a beam structure. A through slot is formed on the upper buckle. The upper strap passes through the through slot. The beam structure is slidably disposed on the upper buckle. The anti-sliding structure is disposed on at least one of the beam structure and a wall of the through slot. The upper strap is engaged by the anti-sliding structure for restraining a sliding movement of the upper buckle relative to the upper strap and toward a shoulder portion when the upper strap is forced to drive the beam structure to slide relative to the upper buckle and toward the wall of the through slot.
STORED ENERGY RELEASE TRIGGERED BY PIEZOELECTRIC ELEMENT
A stored energy release comprises an actuatable member slidably received within a housing. The actuatable member has an extended orientation wherein a portion of the actuatable member extends outwardly from the housing and a retracted orientation wherein the actuatable member resides within the housing. A biasing member is located between the actuatable member and the housing biases the actuatable member to the retracted orientation. A shaft is within the housing with the actuatable member configured for sliding movement along the shaft. A retaining member is located between the actuatable member and the shaft. The retaining member maintains the actuatable member in the extended orientation whereby potential energy is stored within the biasing member. A piezoelectric element selectively engages the retaining member to disable the retaining member and release the stored potential energy within the biasing member to place the actuatable member in the retracted orientation.
Airbag actuator mounted in a custom buckle for personal impact protection systems
A protective device includes an airbag assembly configured to extend at least partially around a waist or hips of an individual; a buckle attached to the airbag assembly, the buckle comprising a first buckle half, and a second buckle half, the first and second buckle halves being attachable to and detachable from one another; and an airbag actuator configured to actuate the airbag assembly. At least a portion of the airbag actuator is disposed in the first buckle half or the second buckle half.
Safety harness with a locking part for positively immobilising fastening buckles of a strap closure and adjustment system
A safety harness comprises at least one strap, at least one attachment member for connecting the safety harness and a system for closing and adjusting the strap provided with a stationary fastening buckle secured to a first strand of the strap and a movable fastening buckle secured in such a way as to be adjustable along a second strand of the strap. The movable fastening buckle can cooperate with the stationary fastening buckle in an interlocking configuration in which the strap is closed on itself so as to form a closed loop having a perimeter that can be adjusted by adjusting the position occupied by the movable fastening buckle along the second stand. The safety harness comprises a locking part separate from the stationary and movable fastening buckles, secured to the first strand or the second strand of the strap and capable of varying between an active state urging the two, stationary and movable, fastening buckles relative to each other so as to positively immobilise the stationary and movable fastening buckles in the interlocking configuration, and an inactive state in which the two, stationary and movable, fastening buckles can freely adopt and come out of the interlocking configuration.
Buckle assemblies for use with child seats and other personal restraint systems
Buckle assemblies having electronic engagement indicating devices for use with child seats and other restraint systems are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a restraint system for use with a child seat can include first and second web connectors which each have a corresponding tongue, and a buckle assembly including a housing that encloses a latch configured to engage the tongues. The buckle assembly can further include a magnet operably coupled to the latch, and an electronic switch operably positioned in the housing. The latch is configured to move between a first latch position in which the latch is disengaged from the tongues, and a second latch position in which the latch is engaged with the tongues. Movement of the latch from the first latch position to the second latch position moves the magnet relative to the electronic switch. In some embodiments, the electronic switch can include a Hall effect sensor that outputs a signal in response to movement of the magnetic field that is indicative of the engagement status of the latch.
Vehicle theft deterrent utilizing driver identification seatbelt system
A driver identification seatbelt system including a seatbelt system having at least one first belt with a first coupling member, and a second coupling member. The driver identification seatbelt system further including a fingerprint recognition member.
