Ergonomic gear shift grip adjuster
An ergonomic adapter for a transmission tower for a motor vehicle, such as a tractor-trailer is disclosed. The adapter includes a tower mounting bracket that is removably coupled to the tower of the transmission and can be positioned at a selected position along the height of the transmission tower and at a selected angular position about an axis of the tower. The adapter also includes an extension bracket rotatably coupled with the tower mounting bracket about an extension axis. The extension bracket can be fixed to the tower mounting bracket at a selected angular position about the extension axis. The adapter also includes a handle rotatably coupled to the extension bracket about a handle axis. The handle can be fixed to the handle at a selected angular position about the handle axis. The adapter allows a driver to adapt the transmission tower to the driver's body to provide improved operation of the vehicle.

Accelerating and braking device and method for a vehicle
An accelerating and braking device is disclosed for a vehicle. The accelerating and braking device includes a support tube pivotably coupled adjacent to the steering column. A brake tube links the control tube with the brake pedal for activating and deactivating the brake pedal. A position sensor is coupled to the control tube. A control engaging the position sensor for producing a variable signal output from the position sensor during rotation of the control. The position sensor electrically coupled to the electronic control module. A first rotational displacement of the position sensor causing an increase in velocity of the vehicle. A second rotational displacement of the position sensor causing a decrease in velocity of the vehicle. A first spring and a second spring engaging the control for causing the second rotational displacement and the decrease in velocity of the vehicle.
Assistive control attachment for an appliance
An assistive control attachment for an appliance can include features for sensing the position or orientation of the assistive control attachment, determining the mode of operation of the appliance based at least in part on the position of the assistive control attachment, communicating the mode of operation of the appliance to a user, or a combination thereof.

Manual Interface Device for Facilitating Operator Control of a Manually Controllable System
A manual interface device is disclosed. The manual interface device can include a first interface component attachable to a manually controllable mechanism. The first interface component can have a first interface surface defining a protrusion or a recess. In addition, the manual interface device can include a second interface component attachable to a human operator. The second interface component can have a second interface surface defining the other of the protrusion or the recess to engage with the first interface surface sufficient to transfer force to operate the manually controllable mechanism. The first and second interface components can be magnetically attracted to one another to maintain engagement of the first and second interface surfaces during operation of the manually controllable mechanism while facilitating selective disengagement of the first and second interface surfaces by the operator.

OPERATOR MECHANISM FOR CONTROL ENCLOSURE
An operator mechanism for a control enclosure includes a shaft assembly having an adjustable length. A shaft extender may be selectively slidable longitudinally along an operator shaft to selectively adjust the length of the shaft assembly, and selectively lockable on the operator shaft to inhibit sliding of the shaft extender on the operator shaft to retain a selected length of the shaft assembly. A shaft extender may be received in a longitudinal passage of a mount sleeve and extend distally outward from the mount sleeve. The shaft extender may be selectively movable longitudinally within a longitudinal passage of the mount sleeve relative to a shaft operator to selectively adjust the length of the shaft assembly.
