LATCH ASSEMBLY
A latch assembly having a latch buckle and a latch tongue. The latch buckle includes: a buckle housing; a first lateral aperture disposed along a first side of the buckle housing; a second lateral aperture disposed along a second side of the buckle housing; a pair of h-shaped levers, each pivotally coupled to an interior of the buckle housing; a spring ring disposed between the pair of h-shaped levers; a pair of springs, each spring being coupled to an interior of the buckle housing and an h-shaped lever; and a buckle aperture disposed along a top of the buckle housing and between the pair of h-shaped levers. The latch tongue includes: a tongue plate; a plate spacer, coupled to the tongue plate; and a latch flange, coupled to the plate spacer, configured to be received by the buckle aperture. The latch tongue is selectably coupled to the latch base.
Buckle connector
A buckle connector for releasably connecting a first object to a second object is provided. The buckle connector may include a first clip member and a connector for connecting it to a first object, and a second clip member and a connector for connecting it to a second object. Legs defining opposed grooves are provided on the first clip member and the second clip member is receivable in the grooves. A stop surface is provided on the second clip member and is engageable with a stop surface on the first clip member to prevent relative movement between the first and second clip members, in a first direction. A strap may be connected to the second clip member so that the strap may be positioned in the grooves in the first and second legs on the first clip member before the second clip member is positioned in the grooves.
Methods for attaching a webbing or a ribbon to a quick release buckle and a quick release buckle
Two methods to attach a webbing or ribbon to a quick release buckle, and a quick release buckle for the use of the two methods are disclosed. Quick release buckles are designed to be used with webbing that is sewn to be attached to the quick release buckle, but for this invention two methods that do not require a sewing process are disclosed. One method uses a knot, and the other method uses a melted-solidified-end made on the webbing or ribbon using a melting method such as a flame or a hot iron or an ultrasonic welder.
QUICK-RELEASE BUCKLE WITH FIRE STARTER AND METHODS OF USE
A quick-release buckle has a male member and a female member configured to interlock, the female member having a body with a recessed receiving portion and one or more lips overhanging a portion of the recessed receiving portion; the male member having a keyed portion shaped complementary to the recessed receiving portion of the female member; wherein the keyed portion of the male member is receivable within the recessed receiving portion to interlock.
Stretch fastener
A fastener having two strap ends connected by an elastomeric member is described. The elastomeric member has sufficient elasticity to allow a user to increase the distance of separation between the two strap ends by applying a separation force, while providing enough tension to return the two strap ends to close proximity when the user releases the separation force. The elastomeric member may also have an adjustable elasticity to accommodate different applications with different load forces. The two strap ends may each be attached to two connectors.
Clip launcher system with interconnecting projectile
A system for launching a toy projectile from a clip connector. The toy projectile has elongated arm elements and elongated leg elements. The toy projectile is launched from a clip connector launcher. The clip connector launcher has a housing with a top opening, side openings, and an internal divider. The elongated arm elements and the elongated leg elements from the toy projectile are inserted into the top opening of the clip connector housing. The elongated arm elements mechanically interlock with the side openings in the clip connector housing when in a fully engaged position. The leg elements are spread by the divider within the clip connector housing when in the fully engaged position. The elongated arm elements and the elongated leg elements store spring energy that releases to accelerate the toy character out and away from the clip connector housing.
Articulating buckle
An articulating buckle including a loop side and a hook side, the loop side configured to pivotably couple with the hook side via insertion of a cylindrical bar of the loop side into a rounded groove of the hook side. Coupling via the cylindrical bar and rounded groove enables the loop side to pivot relative to the hook side while the two sides are engaged. The articulating buckle further includes a first cam latch and a second cam latch, pivotably coupled to a base of the hook side, and configured to releasably secure the cylindrical bar within the rounded groove. The first cam latch includes a first lobe, and the second cam latch includes a second lobe, wherein the first lobe and the second lobe are configured to bias the first cam latch and second cam latch, respectively, towards a locked position, when acted against by the cylindrical bar.
Strap latching device
A latching device configured to secure a first piece of material to a second piece of material. For example, the first piece of material is a boat tarp and the second piece of material is a boat hull. The latching device includes a locking buckle and clasp assembly. The locking buckle has a main body portion and a release mechanism. The release mechanism has locking pawls with claw members. The locking pawls engage the clasp assembly to releasably retain the locking buckle on the clasp assembly.
LIGHT-EMITTING SAFE BUCKLE
A light-emitting safe buckle is disclosed. The buckle includes, a light-emitting device, and a male buckle and a female buckle made of a transparent or translucent material, the light-emitting device being disposed on an intermediate setting portion of the male buckle. The male buckle and the female buckle are both made of a transparent or translucent material, such that light emitted by the light-emitting device can be quickly conducted and diffused to the whole structure.
Wireless quick release buckle
A wireless quick release buckle. The release buckle includes a male plug fastened into a female socket creating a locked buckle assembly. A wireless signal from a remote control is used to quickly release the male plug from the female socket. The male plug further includes springs, a lock rod and riveted hinges attached to plug arms; the hinges are secured to allow the plug arms to simultaneously move inward. The male plug further includes an actuation mechanism which includes a small motor and a receiver to receive a signal from the remote control which activates the actuation mechanism to thereby quickly release the buckle.
