An attachment for a wearable collar of an animal may be provided. The attachment may include an electronic device comprising a processor configured to receive or transmit information relating to the animal. An attachment body may be configured to be detachably coupled to the collar worn by the animal. The attachment body may include a cavity housing the electronic device and an opening of the cavity. The opening may provide access to the electronic device housed in the cavity or retaining the electronic device within the cavity via an enclosure element. Each of a plurality of legs may have a connection element. The connection element may be configured to engage with another connection element to detachably couple the attachment body to the collar worn by the animal.

The operating portion is connectable to the attachment portion by pressing the legs together and inserting the locking hooks of the operating portion into the base body, and then releasing the legs so that the locking hooks of the attachment portion and operating portion engage each other. The operating portion is detachable from the attachment portion by squeezing the legs together until the locking hooks on the operating portion clear the locking hooks on the attachment portion.

The first pair of pawls has a locked position in which the first pair of pawls is engaged with the receiver to prevent movement of the tab with respect to the receiver and a released position in which the first pair of pawls permits movement of the tab with respect to the receiver. A first button on the first side of the receiver has a released position that moves the first pair of pawls to the released position.

The buckle may also include a plug that is removably attached to the adjustable loop end and allows the central bar of the adjustable loop end to be removed without deforming the central bar. Alternatively, each end of the buckle may include self-aligning tabs that guide the ends of the buckle for fastening and aid in the stability of the buckle.
