User centric topics for topic suggestions

A data processing system implements receiving a request for user-centric topic recommendations from a computing device of a user in response to a user input in an application indicating that the user is attempting to assign a tag to a first content item in the application; obtaining a first set of user-centric topic recommendations from a first topic datastore based on a relevance ranking assigned to each of the topic recommendations; providing the first set of user-centric topic recommendations to the computing device; causing the computing device to display the first set of user-centric topic recommendations; receiving one or more second requests for user-centric topic recommendations; obtaining one or more second sets of user-centric topic recommendations from the first topic datastore based on the query string and the relevance ranking; and causing the computing device of the user to display the one or more second sets of user-centric topic recommendations.

Replication of share across deployments in database system

Various embodiments provide for replicating a share across deployments of a data platform, where the share can be on a source deployment and the share can be replicated on one or more target deployments, and where the share is replicated with one or more database objects of the source deployment associated with the share. Some embodiments analyze the share to be replicated and, based on the analysis, determine one or more database objects that would be replicated to the one or more target deployments to enable a replica of the share on the one or more target deployments.

System and method for value based region searching and associated search operators

Embodiments as disclosed herein allow simple specification of searches of values within regions and efficient implementation of such searches. Specifically, embodiments as disclosed may provide a search operator that addresses the problem of complex query construction for finding objects having a particular value, including a minimum or a maximum value, in one of a set of regions, and the efficient implementation of the searches specified by such search operators.

Prioritizing items from different categories in a news stream

Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for displaying a customized news stream. One method includes an operation for identifying dwell times spent by users while accessing a first plurality of items, each item belonging to one media type from a plurality of media types (e.g., news articles, videos, slide shows, etc.). In addition, the method includes operations for determining statistical parameters for each media type based on the identified dwell times, and for detecting a news corpus having a second plurality of items. A priority for each item in the news corpus is determined based on the media type of the item, the corresponding statistical parameters for the media type of the item, and the profile of a user. The news stream is sent to the user for presentation on a display, the news stream being sorted based on the priority of the items in the news corpus.

Systems and methods for video retrieval and grounding

Methods and systems are described for performing video retrieval together with video grounding. A word-based query for a video is and encoded into a query representation using a trained query encoder. One or more similar video representations are identified, from a plurality of video representations that are similar to the query representation. Each similar video representation represents a respective relevant video. A grounding is generated for each relevant video by forward propagating each respective similar video representation together with the query representation through a trained grounding module. The relevant videos or identifiers of the relevant videos are outputted together with the grounding generated for each relevant video.

Systems and method for generating a structured report from unstructured data

Methods and systems for providing computer-assisted guided review of unstructured data to generate a structured data output based on customizable template rules. In embodiments, an unstructured file is received, and a predefined template is selected. The predefined template includes a plurality of fields, each field corresponding to a field of the structured report. The predefined template also defines extraction rules for each field of the predefined template, and the extraction rules define parameters for identifying unstructured data relevant to the associated field. The extraction rules are applied to the unstructured file to identify data relevant to the field associated with the corresponding extraction rule, and the data identified as relevant is confirmed. Confirming the relevant data includes determining to refine the relevant data based on a condition, and modifying the extraction rule associated with the field to refine the relevant data.

Oblivious RAM with logarithmic overhead

A method includes executing an instruction to execute a query for a data block, the data block associated with a corresponding memory level of a logarithmic number of memory levels (l.sub.i) of memory, each memory level (l.sub.i) including physical memory (RAM.sub.i) residing on memory hardware of a distributed system. The method also includes retrieving a value associated with the data block from an oblivious hash table using a corresponding key, and extracting un-queried key value pairs from the oblivious hash table associated with un-queried data blocks after executing a threshold number of queries for data blocks. The method also includes a multi-array shuffle routine on the extracted key value pairs from the oblivious hash table to generate an output array containing the un-queried key value pairs.

Management of indexed data to improve content retrieval processing

The present disclosure relates to processing operations configured to uniquely utilize indexing of content to improve content retrieval processing, particularly when working with large data sets. The techniques described herein enables efficient content retrieval when working with large data sets such as those that may be associated with a plurality of tenants of a data storage application/service. Among other technical advantages, the present disclosure is applicable to train a classifier using relevant samples based on text search in tenant-specific scenarios, where accurate searching can be executed for content associated with one or more tenant accounts of an application/service concurrently in milliseconds even in instances where there may be millions of documents to be searched. As an example, exemplary data shards may be generated and managed for efficient and scalable content retrieval processing including training of a classifier (e.g., artificial intelligence classifier) and real-time (or near real-time) query processing.
