Wireless microphone system and methods

The invention relates generally to a wireless microphone system and methods. The system may include a receiver unit connected to one or more transmitter units. The system may be configured to monitor the link between the corresponding units and mark audio in response to a broken connection. Each transmitter unit of the system may include a switching arrangement configured to record uncompressed audio or compressed audio and, according to a processing path selected, transmit the same audio to the receiver unit. The transmission of audio may be accomplished via a dipole antenna positioned at a height from a circuit board. Advantageously, the system is configured to record and transmit audio with a low rate of dropout error.

AUDIO INFORMATION CORRECTION SYSTEM, AUDIO INFORMATION CORRECTION METHOD, AND AUDIO INFORMATION CORRECTION PROGRAM

Audio information correction systems, methods, and programs access stored continuous audio information transmitted from a transmitter and determine if a silent part that lasts for a length of a reference time is present in the stored audio information. When such a silent part is present, the systems, methods, and programs correct the audio information by either (i) deleting the silent part from the memory; or (2) adding another silent part continuously before or after the silent part and storing the resultant audio information in the memory.

The present invention enables a user to share his/her listening experience selectively with others without sharing headphones and without disturbing others who do not want to listen. In a preferred embodiment, a first listener can accomplish this by storing in a Portable Electronic Device or similar device a library of listening experiences, listening to one of the listening experiences, and while listening to that one listening experience streaming the one listening experience to at least one other Portable Electronic Device or similar device. A second listener at the other Portable Electronic Device can then listen to the same listening experience as the first listener at the same time. It is expected that the listening experiences will typically be songs or other music but the invention may be practiced with any type of audio content. The first listener may also create a playlist of the listening experiences in the library and make the playlist available to others. Others may use the playlist to access the library and listen to one or more listening experiences stored in the library. Also, utilizing the same interface and communication methodologies as described above, the technology platform detailed in this application can be used for commercial purposes to stream location based content, audio and otherwise, to a connected network of Portable Electronic Devices. Commercial uses of this functionality include providing commercial establishments with the ability to create synchronous (users come into a stream at the exact point that it is being streamed in real time) and or asynchronous (users can select and start a transmission from the beginning) featured channels (location based) where they can stream any self created or otherwise authorized content to other Portable Electronic Devices in their range.

MOBILE AUDIO DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND METHOD

A mobile audio distribution (MAD) system/method providing for synchronized audio distribution to modular audio modules (MAMs) is disclosed. The system/method utilizes a central audio synchronization module (ASM) that loads audio files onto audio playback recorders (APRs) such that the audio playback emitted from each APR is synchronized in time. These APRs are individually positioned within and electrically connected to a MAM that is positioned in a spatially diverse manner in a desired field of audio distribution- Each MAM is configured to be adaptable to removable physical fixation to a vertical standard such as a tripod, pole, tree, etc. Each MAM is configured with a speaker, amplifier, battery pack, APR, optional radio frequency receiver (RFR) in order to disseminate synchronized audio from the APR via the speaker. Each MAM may be removably interlocked with other MAMs via the use of one or more hermaphroditic plate connectors (HPC).
