In some implementations, a method for presenting ranked comments is provided, the method comprising: receiving, using a hardware processor, content data related to an item of content; receiving, using the hardware processor, comment data related to a comment associated with the item of content; determining, using the hardware processor, a degree of correlation between at least a portion of the comment data and one or more portions of the content data; determining, using the hardware processor, a priority for the comment based on the degree of correlation; and presenting, using the hardware processor, the comment based on the priority.

While displaying the playback user interface that is configured to playback the content on the electronic device, the electronic device displays a scrubber bar for navigating through the content, wherein the scrubber bar includes: a visual indication of a current playback position within the content; and one or more playback time indications that include time values based on the current playback position within the content. A respective playback time indication of the one or more playback time indications is based on a time of day at the electronic device, and an amount of time that it will take to play the content from the current playback position to an end of the content at a respective content playback speed.

A computer-implemented method includes: detecting whether a user is watching media content; after detecting that the user is watching media, presenting on a user device a first affordance providing a first user-selectable election to receive information on entities relevant to the media content; in response to user selection of the election: sampling at the user device program information from the media content including one or more of audio signals and subtitles, and sending the program information to a server, which identifies the media content and generates one or more second user-selectable user elections for the identified media content and sends to the user device one or more second affordances providing the second user-selectable elections; displaying the second affordances on the user device; and in response to user selection of one of the second affordances, displaying on the user device information on a respective entity relevant to the media content.

In some embodiments, the method comprises: receiving a request to present a page indicating content related to a first entity; identifying a first group of entities related to the first entity based at least in part on user interaction information; identifying a group of properties corresponding to the first entity; identifying, for each property, a second group of entities corresponding to the property; calculating, for each property, a score for the property; determining a subset of the properties in the group of properties based on the score of each property; identifying, for each property in the subset of properties, a group of content items corresponding to the property; determining a subset of content items from the group of content items; and causing a user interface indicating the subset of content items to be presented.
