A closure or fastener is provided for apparel, shoes, equipment, and other applications. The closure may have a female component having a receiving area and a male component having a locking portion. Either or both the male component and female component may have a notched appearance to provide additional flexibility and comfort to the closure. Flanges on the male components and the female components may facilitate off-registration engagement of the closure system. Textures present or absent in the closure system may permit or prevent sliding by the male components and female components when the closure is engaged.

ZIPPER ASSEMBLY FOR RECLOSABLE ENCLOSURE

A zipper assembly for a reclosable enclosure includes a first profile having a first elongated supporting element and first protruding intermeshing elements. The zipper assembly also may include a second profile having a second elongated supporting element and one or more second intermeshing elements protruding from the second elongated supporting element. The one or more first intermeshing elements may releasably interlock with the one or more second intermeshing elements to close the enclosure. Each of the first elongated supporting element and the second elongated supporting element may include a thicker portion and a thinner portion. The thicker portions of the first elongated supporting element and the second elongated supporting element may be coupled with one or more panels of the enclosure. The thicker portions of the first elongated supporting element and the second elongated supporting element may be disposed on a consumer side of the enclosure.

Sealing for open-end slide fastener

Open-ended slide fasteners that are watertight and/or airtight. The slide fasteners include box and pin mechanisms integrated with the slide fastener and configured to compress the tape edges and create a water and air tight seal, thus eliminating the need for installing a separate component after the slide fastener has been manufactured.

Zipper strap structure, packaging bag comprising zipper strap structure, and manufacturing method for zipper strap structure

A zipper strap structure according to an embodiment includes a first strap, a second strap disposed side by side with the first strap, an internal coupling unit, and an external coupling unit. According to the invention, the internal and external coupling of the zipper strap structure is performed with very high accuracy and precision. In addition, when the zipper strap structure is operated, a user can intuitively recognize whether the zipper strap structure is opened or closed by senses of touch and hearing. Since a user can effectively seal contents by the internal and external coupling of the zipper strap structure and can clearly recognize an operation state of the zipper by senses of touch and hearing, the user does not have to perform repeated checking of whether or not a zipper is completely closed, unlike the related art.

SLIDE FASTENER SEALING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A slide fastener sealing system and related methods. In one example, the slide fastener sealing system includes a separating slide fastener in which a first end overlaps and is secured to a second end such that a sealing zone is located between the overlapping ends of the slide fastener. The sealing system also includes in this example a sealing member that can be secured to the slide fastener in a removable fashion with a portion of the sealing member located in the sealing zone to seal against fluid penetration through the sealing zone.
