Automated augmented reality rendering platform for providing remote expert assistance
A scheme (300) for facilitating automated AR-based rendering with respect to expert guidance or assistance provided in a connected work environment based on contextualization is disclosed. In one aspect, a method comprises a worker (102) requiring assistance with respect to a given task generating (302) one or more suitable queries. Responsive thereto, real-time context data is gathered (304), which may comprise data relating to the work environment. A remote expert (118) may generate (306) appropriate guidance relevant to the task and assistance query, which may be rendered as AR content (308) for worker consumption by using an AR rendering module (112). The worker (102) consumes or uses the AR content for performing (310) an action with respect to the task. The performance of the worker (102) may be used as a measure to improve the AR rendering in automated fashion (312, 314) using one or more machine learning modules (114).

INTERACTIVE GUI FOR PRESENTING CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION AT CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
A method of generating an interactive graphical user interface (GUI), comprising: receiving one or more images captured by an image sensor of a mobile device in a construction site, each image is associated with one or more positioning parameter indicative of the mobile device’s position when the respective image is captured, rendering the image(s) on a display, receiving user input indicating selection of an area in the image(s) depicting a corresponding area in the construction site, accessing a 3D model documenting construction task status relating to each of a plurality of elements in the construction site, registering the image(s) to the 3D model according to the positioning parameter(s) to identify, in the selected area, elements documented in the 3D model, retrieving a respective construction task status relating to the identified elements; and adapting a GUI presented in association with the selected area according to the respective construction task status.
VIRTUAL REALITY DISPLAY DEVICE AND DISPLAY METHOD
A virtual reality (VR) display device and a display method are provided, so as to improve the problems that an existing VR display device has higher power consumption and waste of resources. The display method for the VR display device includes: in response to a first operation of a user, initiating a smartview mode (S101); controlling display in a first display region of a screen of the VR display device to be at first definition; controlling display in a second display region, other than the first display region, of the screen of the VR display device to be at second definition (S102); and supplementing and displaying black for part of pixels in the second display region (S103); the first display region is a region watched by human eyes; and the first definition is greater than the second definition.
MAGAZINE SIMULATOR FOR USAGE WITH WEAPONS IN A VIRTUAL REALITY SYSTEM
A magazine simulator that is removably inserted into a gun, the box magazine including a switch that is articulated with a trigger mechanism of the gun, and a tracker interface coupled to the box magazine, the tracker interface including an electrical connection interface with a virtual reality tracker that communicates with a virtual reality computing device, wherein the electrical connection interface transmits electrical signals to the virtual reality tracker based on articulations of the switch.
Virtual Showroom System with Augmented Reality
A system allows a user to select designs for apparel and preview these designs before manufacture. The previews provide photorealistic visualizations in two or three dimensions, and can be presented on a computer display, projected on a screen, or presented in virtual reality (e.g., via headset), or augmented reality. The system can also include a projection system that projects the new designs onto garments on mannequins in a showroom. The garments and the new designs projected onto the garments have a three-dimensional appearance as if the garments having the new designs are worn by people. Software and lasers are used in finishing the garments to produce garments with the new designs and the finished garments have an appearance of the three-dimensional appearance of the garments and new designs on the mannequins with the new designs projected onto the garments by the projection system.
Augmented reality automotive accessory customer collaborative design and manufacturing through 3D printing
Systems and methods are provided that allow customers to collaborate with vehicle accessory manufacturers to design accessories in an augmented reality (AR) environment and manufacture the designed accessories through a rapid manufacturing technique, such as 3D printing. The disclosed systems and methods allow progression from augmented reality-designed accessories to 3D printed designs manufactured either at the dealer or at a regional printing center. The 3D printed designs may be installed on the customer's vehicle, enabling a dealership to provide tailor-made, custom products designed through an AR application.
RF SCENE GENERATION SIMULATION WITH EXTERNAL MARITIME SURFACE
Embodiments of a system for simulating a radio frequency (RF) scene associated with a moving maritime surface are generally described herein. An RF scene is generated using an RF scene generation model and a moving maritime surface is generated using a maritime surface model. The RF scene is integrated with the moving maritime surface model. The RF scene generation model is configured to apply a radar model to generate and update the RF scene based on simulated radar returns at a radar pulse repetition frequency (PRF) and the maritime surface model is configured to update the moving maritime surface at a maritime surface update rate, access previous and current maritime surfaces, and interpolate surface facet properties to pulse times of the radar model, The maritime surface model is configured to update the moving maritime surface once every subdwell.
REAL-TIME INTERACTIVE MODELING & SIMULATION PROCESS FOR FACTORY LAYOUT
Method, system, and computer program product for simulating the layout and flow of a manufacturing facility. An initial facility layout concept and a baseline input data set are received which define placement and movement of virtual objects within a virtual facility model. At least one of several analyses is performed based on the initial facility layout concept and the baseline input data set. An event flow analysis that outputs timing for movement of the objects from the initial positions may be performed. A geometric flow analysis that outputs interactions between the objects resulting from the movements from the initial positions may be performed. An ergonomic analysis that outputs human postures and motions resulting from interactions with objects may be performed. A simulated flow model for the manufacturing facility is generated. A three-dimensional virtual environment of the simulated flow model is generated and output for display.
