Provided is a design support device configured to support design of a power supply system in which power from a power supply is distributed and supplied to a plurality of load devices by a power distribution supply path in which a plurality of power cables are combined, the design support device including: a unit configured to acquire configuration information indicating a configuration of the power distribution supply path; a unit configured to acquire, for each of the plurality of load devices, operation pattern information representing an operation pattern of the load device; a unit configured to calculate, for each power cable, a maximum current value, which is a maximum value of a current flowing through the power cable, based on the configuration information and the operation pattern information of each load device; and a unit configured to output, for each power cable, at least one of the maximum current value for the power cable and recommended cable information representing a cable recommended for use as the power cable based on the calculated maximum current value for each power cable. With this configuration, the design of the power supply system is supported.

Systems and methods for rule-based application of functional requirements to spaces in a floor plan a disclosed. The system may include at least one processor configured to perform operations that may include accessing a floor plan demarcating a plurality of spaces. Operations may include performing semantic enrichment on the plurality of spaces in order to determine a semantic designation for at least one space of the plurality of spaces. Operations may include enriching the floor plan by associating on the floor plan the semantic designation with the at least one space. Operations may include identifying, in a data structure, a rule that includes a functional requirement based on the semantic designation and associating the identified rule with the at least one space.

Controller modules

A module is described which is slidably attachable to a controller. Resource wires are connected to the module through resource connectors, The module has a circuit board that can perform actions. The module can modify the function of its resource connectors. These modifications may be to meet the requirements of resources that are to be connected to the module. The module may be able to monitor voltage, current, or power, or check for faults on the wire. The results of such monitoring may be displayed on a screen associated with the controller.

INTERACTIVE INFORMATION SYSTEM WITH MODULAR STRUCTURE

An interactive information system is disclosed. The interactive information system includes (i) an interactive module arranged in a first frame including a display module displaying a graphic user interface (GUI), a touch input module receiving a user input to the GUI, and an interactive module bridge board transmitting inter-frame signals including electrical signals of the display module and the touch input module, (ii) a control module arranged in a second frame to generate the GUI and to perform a function of the interactive information system based on the user input, and (iii) an internal cable connecting the interactive module bridge board and the control module to transmit inter-frame signals between the first frame and the second frame. The internal cable is further to transmit power to the interactive module bridge board which transmits power to the display module and the touch input module.

Use of trunk line in flattening an electrical harness assembly design

A method is disclosed for creating a flattened version of a three-dimensional electrical harness assembly design in a computer-aided design environment. The method includes storing data in computer memory including route segment identifiers, diameters, lengths, and end points for route segments in the electrical harness assembly. A computer processor designates route segments as forming a trunk line of the electrical harness assembly, based on the stored data, and produces a flattened two-dimensional version of the design. All the route segments designated as forming the trunk line are represented in the flattened 2D version by straight connected lines, having a particular orientation (e.g., horizontal), and every other route segment is represented as extending out from the trunk line. The flattened 2D version is displayed on a display screen of a computer.
