Automated deposition of highly viscous fluids into thin-walled cylinders
Disclosed are systems and methods for automatic infusion of concentrate and distillate material into cigarettes or other containers. In one embodiment, a thermally-controlled infusion system is provided. The system can maintain a selected temperature of the concentrate material throughout the infusion process, using a two-stage approach. In a first stage, the concentrate material is pressure-fed to a dosing chamber. In the second stage, the concentrate material is pumped into an insertion canula and into a cigarette or container. A revolver houses the cigarettes or containers and vertically transitions them to an insertion position, where the insertion canula can infuse the cigarettes or containers.
AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE WITH ALTERABLE IDENTIFIER
The present invention relates to an aerosol-generating article, adapted to be electrically heated by an aerosol-generating device. The aerosol-generating article comprises an aerosol-generating substrate, an optical information storage element storing information in a grid pattern with a plurality of segments comprising at least one alterable segment. The at least one alterable segment comprises a first layer and a second layer, wherein at least one optical property of at least one layer is adapted to be altered. The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing an information storage element, an aerosol-generating system comprising an aerosol-generating article and an aerosol-generating device and the use of a multi-layered information storage element on an aerosol-generating article to provide alterable supplemental information about the aerosol-generating article.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CLOSING AND EXTRACTING PRE-ROLLED CONES
The invention describes a system and method for closing and extracting filled pre-rolled cones. The system comprises of a holding piece, a catch chamber, a closing piece, and an extracting piece. The holding piece comprises a plurality of openings to hold the filled pre-rolled cones and the openings have a wider diameter on the top that tapers towards the bottom. The closing piece comprises a plate, legs and a plurality of countersink holes. The countersink holes are configured to be placed and pressed over the top of each filled cone to funnel the excess paper of the cone. The extracting piece comprises a base and one or more pins. The countersink holes of the closing piece can accommodate one or more pins of the extracting piece. An application of force on the base and one or more pins of the extracting piece can fold the excess paper of the filled pre-rolled cones in the holding piece and release the pre-rolled cones through the openings of the holding piece into the catch chamber.
Smoking article
An improved, cleaner functioning smoking article is provided, comprising a aerosol forming substrate engineered to include airflow channels. Features include a hollow tube, which may be comprised of various materials, including the material for vaporization itself, within the engineered material, such as tobacco, for efficient vaporization. Other features include a hollow, inverted cone to permit air ingress in a closed bottomed HNB cigarette, and a capsule cigarette designed to retain loose leaf and original material for clean vaporization.
Pre-roll filling system
A pre-roll filling system is provided. A pre-roll receiving component is operable to receive a plurality of pre-rolls. The pre-rolls are arranged in at least one row extending along a longitudinal axis. A translating component is operable to translate the pre-roll receiving component along the longitudinal axis. A filling component including at least one needle component is operable to deposit infusion material via at least one needle into the pre-rolls as the pre-roll receiving component translates along the longitudinal axis.
