SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CALCULATING COST FOR WIRE HARNESS ASSEMBLY

A system for calculating a cost for a wire harness assembly includes a controller. The controller receives a computer generated three-dimensional (3D) model of the wire harness assembly for extracting a number of parameters from the computer generated 3D model, the number of parameters being associated with a material of one or more components of the wire harness assembly, dimensions of the one or more components of the wire harness assembly, and a manufacturing process of the wire harness assembly. The controller also analyzes the number of parameters for determining the cost for the wire harness assembly. The controller further generates a report indicative of the cost for the wire harness assembly. The system also includes a user interface communicably coupled with the controller. The user interface receives and presents the report indicative of the cost for the wire harness assembly.

A wax model of a required coping is produced using CNC machining techniques based on a virtual model of the coping created from digital data obtained from the intraoral cavity. The dental coping is then fabricated from the wax model.

Fabricated shape estimation for droplet-based additive manufacturing processes with uncertainty

A plurality of scanned prints of a product part and a scan-path are received. A shape of a minimum printable feature of the product part is determined by analyzing the respective prints in a scan-path representation. A manufacturing error of the minimum printable feature is determined based on the analysis. A manufacturing error of a shape of the part is determined based on the determined manufacturing error of the minimum printable feature. An estimated manufactured shape of the part is produced based on the determined manufacturing error of the part.

Techniques for determining fabricability of designs by searching for forbidden patterns

In some embodiments, techniques are provided for verifying that a fabrication system can fabricate a proposed segmented design. A paintbrush pattern that represents capabilities of the fabrication system is determined. One or more forbidden patterns that the fabrication system is not capable of fabricating are determined based on the paintbrush pattern. The proposed segmented design is then searched for the forbidden patterns. If any forbidden patterns are found, the proposed segmented design is determined to not be fabricable by the fabrication system. If no forbidden patterns are found, then the proposed segmented design is determined to be fabricable by the fabrication system.

AUTOMATIC GENERATION OF BILL OF PROCESS FROM DIGITAL TWIN USING EXPLORATORY SIMULATION

A method for automatically generating a bill of process in a manufacturing system comprising: receiving design information representative of a product to be produced; iteratively performing simulations of the manufacturing system; identifying manufacturing actions based on the simulations; optimizing the identified manufacturing actions to efficiently produce the product to be produced; generating, by the manufacturing system, a bill of process for producing the product. Simulations may be performed using a digital twin of the product being produced and a digital twin of the environment. System actions are optimized using a reinforcement learning technique to automatically produce a bill of process based on the design information of the product and task specifications.
