The invention relates to this method comprising the following steps, for at least one input/output parameter: duplicating and inserting a list of graphical commands associated with said parameter within a calculation module of said chain, from a current value of said parameter, obtaining a current cyclic redundancy code associated with a current micropattern, generated by executing said at least one list, comparing said current cyclic redundancy code with a reference cyclic redundancy code stored in a dedicated memory space for a substantially identical value of said parameter within a tolerance threshold, in the event of a difference in cyclic redundancy code value, automatic sanctioning of said chain at least by suspending its execution.

Method and system for any-point in time recovery within traditional storage system via a continuous data protection interceptor

A method for managing data includes obtaining, by a first storage controller, a write request associated with an object from a host, applying an erasure coding procedure to data associated with the write request to obtain a plurality of data chunks and at least one parity chunk, wherein object comprises the data, deduplicating the plurality of data chunks to obtain a plurality of deduplicated data chunks, generating storage metadata associated with the plurality of data chunks and the at least one parity chunk, generating an object entry associated with the plurality of data chunks, storing, across a first plurality of persistent storage devices, the plurality of deduplicated data chunks and the at least one parity chunk, and storing, via a continuous data protection interceptor executing on the first storage controller, in at least one of a second plurality of persistent storage devices the object entry.

Reconstructing lost data objects by generating virtual user files from available nodes within a cluster

Embodiments of method and system are directed to a best effort method to reconstruct corrupt files from available nodes or tiers and heal or repair the corrupt files within a cluster of nodes. The method looks for the existence of fingerprints of the lost segments in available tiers on the nodes or across nodes within a cluster. The method discovers the copies of these missing segments, creates an Lp tree referring these discovered segments and creates a virtual file in the namespace. The file is then moved to the destination tier where the corruption exists, thus healing the corruption.

PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE TECHNIQUES AND ANALYTICS IN HYBRID CLOUD SYSTEMS

The techniques disclosed herein enable predictive maintenance features in Hybrid Cloud systems. The system can analyze system data defining one or more operating conditions of an on-prem server and determine if one or more predetermined conditions are met. If a predetermined condition is met, the on-prem server can generate and transmit log data to a primary server. The primary server can generate one or more monitor rules having one or more updated predetermined conditions for detecting an anomaly at the on-prem server. Using the monitor rules, the on-prem server can detect and proactively resolve potential issues. The on-prem server can also transmit diagnostic data to the primary server for generating an updated monitor rule that is further tailored to the conditions of the on-prem server.

One method includes: receiving a service request for the computer system, the service request describing an operation state of the computer system; respectively determining similarities between the service request and multiple historical service requests performed for the computer system, the multiple historical service requests respectively describing multiple historical operation states of the computer system; and determining, in response to determining that a similarity between the service request and a historical service request among the multiple historical service requests satisfies a predetermined similarity condition, a solution for processing the service request based on a pairing of the service request with the historical service request and a historical solution for processing the historical service request. Further, a corresponding device and a corresponding program product are provided.

System and method for a backup data verification for a file system based backup

A method for verifying data includes obtaining, by a backup agent, a backup verification trigger for a backup stored in a backup storage system, in response to the backup verification trigger, obtaining backup metadata associated with the backup, performing a hierarchical structure data mapping based on the backup metadata to obtain a hierarchical structure associated with the backup, performing, using the hierarchical structure, a backup verification to generate a backup health state of the backup, after the backup verification is generated: making a determination, based on the backup verification, that the backup health state is not in a healthy state, and in response to the determination, performing a remediation of the backup policies.

Methods and systems for exchange of equipment performance data

A method for exchange of equipment performance data includes the steps of: obtaining performance data of a communicatively-insulated device; converting the performance data into a scannable code; capturing an image of the scannable code; decoding the scannable code using a communicatively-enabled device to extract an address string encoded in the scannable code, the address string comprising an address of a remote server and the performance data; and initiating, by the communicatively-enabled device, a communications link with the remote server using the address string thereby to provide the performance data to the remote server.

A backup-source storage system extracts, as a pattern, forwarding target data to a backup-destination storage system among data written to a storage apparatus through a volume. The backup-source storage system determines whether the extracted pattern matches with a registered pattern in the backup-source storage system. When a result of the determination is false, the backup-source storage system registers the extracted pattern and forwards the forwarding target data to the backup-destination storage system. When the result of the determination is true, the backup-source storage system does not forward the forwarding target data.
