From a stream management service, indications of transmissions of data records of a first data stream via a persistent network connection associated with a subscription are provided to a stream processing application. In response to detecting that a transfer throttling condition associated with the subscription has been met, a delay is introduced before additional data records are transmitted via the same persistent network connection. After a subscription expiration period has elapsed, an indication of the expiration is provided to the application via the persistent connection.
High availability for a relational database management system as a service in a cloud platform
A Relational Database Management System (“RDBMS”) as a service cluster may including a master RDBMS Virtual Machine (“VM”) node associated with an Internet Protocol (“IP”) address and a standby RDBMS VM node associated with an IP address. The RDBMS as a service (e.g., PostgreSQL as a service) may also include n controller VM nodes each associated with an IP address. An internal load balancer may receive requests from cloud applications and include a frontend IP address different than the RDBMS IP as a service addresses and a backend pool including indications of the master RDBMS VM node and the standby RDBMS VM node. A Hyper-Text Transfer Protocol (“HTTP”) custom probe may transmit requests for the health of the master RDBMS VM node and the standby RDBMS VM node via the associated IP addresses, and responses to the requests may be used in connection with a failover operation.

The method includes: reading a physical unit and updating a read count of the physical unit; scanning the physical unit if the updated read count is not less than a read count threshold; and adjusting the read count threshold according to the read count and a read error bit. Therefore, a data unit that needs to be scanned can be determined to reduce unnecessary data scanning.

An improved SDK includes a set of APIs and a crash handler registered with the operating system. Each API is an interface accessible by a computer software application. Up on entrance, each API determines the current thread identifier, and inserts it into a list if it is not already in the list. Each thread identifier corresponds to an API call counter, which is incremented by one at the entrance and decremented by one at the exit point of the API. The SDK also records the identifier of the thread it creates for callback functions. When a crash occurs, the crash handler is executed. It determines that the crash is related to a callback interface if the crash thread identifier matches the callback thread identifier. The crash is determined to be caused by the SDK if the API call counter corresponding to the crash thread identifier is greater than zero.

An example computer-implemented method includes obtaining telemetry data from one or more enterprise devices; determining, for each of the one or more enterprise devices, values for multiple device attributes by processing the obtained telemetry data; generating, for each of the one or more enterprise devices, at least one prediction related to lifecycle information of at least one device component by processing the determined attribute values using one or more deep learning techniques; and performing one or more automated actions based at least in part on the at least one generated prediction.

Performance and deadlock mitigation during a memory die fail storm
A method is described that includes processing, by a memory subsystem, a read memory command that is addressed to a first die of a memory device. The memory subsystem determines whether processing the read memory command failed to correctly read user data from the first die and, in response to determining that processing the read memory command failed to correctly read user data from the first die, determines whether the first die has failed. In response to determining that the first die has failed, the memory subsystem performs an abbreviated error recovery procedure to successfully perform the read memory command instead of a full error recovery procedure.

One method includes maintaining by a processor of a management console, a plurality of structured objects representing a plurality of resources in a networked storage system for storing and retrieving client data from a plurality of storage devices; receiving by the processor unstructured data from an application programming interface (API) associated with a resource of the networked storage system; parsing by the processor, the unstructured data and generating an identifier hash value based on uniquely identifying fields of the unstructured data for an unstructured object; and generating by the processor a logical index with a configuration index and a performance index for the unstructured object identified by the identifier hash value for responding to user requests for performance information regarding the unstructured object.
